Well I have lived in the same home for 15 years the past 9 or 10 months we have been getting calcium crystals in the water and it is stopping up our water valves. Particularly the toilet valve. I can clean it out and it's full again in 15 minutes causing the water valve to not shut off. So the water just runs into our septic tank. Our water bill has been 40 dollars for 15 years the last couple of months it's been way higher. One month 80 dollars the next month 150 dollars. So I call the water department to see if they can flush the line in which they came and barely cracked open the flush valve so they didn't flush anything. They took a water sample and a sample of the flakes. I didn't hear anything from ******* ****** so I called to find out so left a message for ******* ****** to call me in the morning and never heard back from him. So I called around noon the next day to try and get in touch with him he wasn't there so left another message fir him to call me but this time I told them if I didn't hear from him today I would just report this to the FTC. So it's like 2 hours later he calls and has an attitude about it all and tells me he doesn't care and for me not to call back. I don't know what this mans problem is but it's apparent he doesn't care anything about the customers. So I'm just stuck with this problem i guess. So that is why I am reaching out to the FTC and the BBB. I want paid for the hundreds of times I have had to clean out the toilet valve, I want my entire plumbing system flushed correctly, and our septic tank pumped all at Bloomingdale Utility District expense!

    The water
service at *** ********** ****** **** is in ***** ******** name.  Technically, we should not be dealing with *** ****t because he is not our customer.

    Bloomingdale
Utility District, along with all public water systems in this area, has hard
water.  It is caused by underground limestone
deposits. As a general rule, Bloomingdale Utility District advises its
customers that if the hardness or our water is problematic, their best option
is to install a water softener in their home.
*** ***** was told this by *** ****** during their first phone
conversation.  He is the only customer that’s
reported a hardness issue of this magnitude. *** ***** even stated that a
neighbor did not have the same issue; but insisted it is the fault of Bloomingdale
    Utility District.

    We collect
multiple samples of our water every day in order to comply with state
    regulations.  The water main on
Timbertree Branch Road was flushed according to our flushing SOP (standard
operating procedure) on March 8.  At this
time, a chlorine residual was collected and the result was well within our
    required limits.

    *** ******
was actually out of the office during some of the times *** ***** kept calling.
We make every effort to get back to
customers (although *** ***** is not actually our customer) in a timely manner.

    *** *****
has called Bloomingdale Utility District multiple times during the past 6
months.  He has screamed at and used
profanity with our office employees.  Mr.
Wyatt has also left a Google Review for Bloomingdale Utility District in which
he referred to *** ****** and stated, “I sure wish it was 1950 so I could teach
this punk a lesson he desperately needs!”.

    As far as
contacting the FTC, *** ****** did tell Mr.  Wyatt to go ahead and call whoever he needed
to call.  *** ***** was also told to stop
calling and harassing our employees.  We
have done all we can do.

    Bloomingdale
Utility District has no control over calcium or lime buildup in our customers’
plumbing and will not take responsibility for anything that is beyond our
    control.
