    I closed on a new home built and sold to me by CDI Services, November 3rd, 2023. After only a few days in the home I began to notice some serious issues:

    Damage to roof (I repaired the loose metal)
    Leaking windows (windows were not caulked when instaled)
    Faultily breakers and Rusty breakers (I Replaced)
    Load noses still coming from the breaker box ( An Electric from Coleman Electric came out and told me the box is not up to code. The noise is from faulty grounds in the wiring)
    Outdoor outlets were not caulked (weather proofed, I fixed)
    Utility trenches not properly back filled (I purchased and graded 20tons of gravel)
    Inaccurate documents for the septic and well service provided at closing (I had to find them online)
    No P trap installed under first floor shower ( as a result septic odor and gasses backed up inside home)

    When I contacted CDI about the issues. They told me they were not going to fix anything and to consult the American Home Shield "Warranty" plan they provided with the home. AHS is a service plan, not a warranty. When I called AHS they said they do not cover faulty installation/work or metal roofs. This is a new home and CDI refused to offer or back a new home builder warranty.

    I bought him a home warranty and he bought the home as is after it passed all required state inspections as well as a VA home inspection.
