We had an impossibly small kitchen that needed serious updating. Think subway tiles for counters, dead appliances, crooked floor, wonky walls, and ugly nursery colors painted on the cabinets. It felt claustrophobic. After researching online for several months, we decided to work with Mike and Melissa at Professional Tile Design. Mike met with us in our home for a consult, where we discussed our ideas for the new design, timeline, and our budget. Later, he helped us select tiles for the floor and backsplash, weighing in on the different material strengths and type of maintenance they would need. Honestly, we would have ended up with shady tile without him because I am a sucker for aesthetics, which is not always practical. He and Melissa were actually able to start work much sooner than originally projected, which was awesome! Every step of the way, we encountered small issues due to how old our home is (built in 1940), but Mike always had a clever and practical way to address it. And I love that they both took the time to explain each issue clearly and what our options were. There was never a moment when we were out of the loop on anything. Our once cramped and dingy kitchen is now airy and bright. We have shaker white lower cabinets with a deep stainless steel farm sink and warm butchers block counter tops. Gorgeous floating shelves against a backdrop of seamless tri-colored subway tiles. There's not an inch of this kitchen that wasn't attentively built by them. It is literally the most beautiful kitchen I've ever seen. Both were professional, knowledgeable, reliable, and patient. But they also treated us like family, made the process as stress-free as possible, and made our dream kitchen into a reality. We will absolutely be calling them when it's time to renovate the upstairs bathroom!

Professional Tile Design (Mike and Melissa) are absolutely the best! I've had mediocre contractors in the past, so was cautious this time. For my Maryville, Tennessee, bathroom remodel, I had four different contractors quote me a price for labor only. I pay for materials separately. Mike wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive, but he certainly was the most knowledgeable and the most professional. I'm extremely happy with how my bathroom turned out. The tile work is phenomenal. I highly recommend Professional Tile Design to anyone wanting their bathroom (or kitchen) remodeled. If you're looking for the cheapest contractor, look elsewhere (you get what you pay for), but if you want a beautiful bathroom done correctly by a true professional team, then hire Professional Tile Design.
