    Myself and my boyfriend went to K1 Speed as walkin. I paid the $78.55 and the worker told us it would be an hour before we would race. We said okay. We waited about 3 hours… my boyfriend asked if we were next and they said no about 2 more hours. I said I want a refund then and they said, we can’t because our manager is not here. I came back the very next day and they found the manager. He argued with me and gaslit me into thinking I was in the wrong. He asked if I had even tried to get my money back the day before.I said yes, and he said well I can’t do anything because the ticket for yesterday is closed. I told him this would be a problem. He told me he could have me arrested for trespassing because I told him I wanted my money back since we never even drove go karts and sat to watch others race for 3.5 hours for $80. I left and they still have my money. There are about 20 others that this has happened to as well. I just want my money back since I didn’t even receive the service I paid for.

    Hi there, 

    I actually received a response from the corporate office of this business today that they would issue a refund. I hope they retrain the manager who was rude to me. It doesn’t seem like that location is successful even though the reviews for other locations are.

    I am writing to file a complaint regarding a disappointing and unprofessional experience my wife and I on 2/1/2025.

    Upon arrival we were informed by an employee that our wait time would be approximately 20-30 minutes. We patiently watched the races, listened for our names, and observed others being called. However, after an hour and a half of waiting, our names finally appeared on the screen. When we approached the gate, we were ignored while pit crew members assisted others. After some time, our names disappeared from the screen without being called. I asked an employee what had happened, and he claimed to have called our names three times—something we are certain did not occur.

    Frustrated, we got in line to request a refund. After waiting, the employee at the counter told us to speak with the gentleman two lines down. When we approached him he told us he had to speak with the manager. Upon returning, he stated that he had permission to issue the refund but did not have access to do so. The manager, the same one I initially spoke with, then returned and denied the refund, stating that the business does not offer refunds—only credit.

    Had the manager initially informed us of this policy, it would have saved us even more wasted time. When I questioned why he hadn’t mentioned it earlier, the manager falsely claimed he had a line of people. The conversation escalated when I, understandably frustrated, expressed my displeasure, to which the manager responded that he could ask us to leave due to my language. I then told him to go ahead, at which point he officially banned us from returning.

    This entire experience was a disorganized, misleading, and frustrating waste of time and money. We paid $72.47 for a service that was never rendered due to their own failure to properly call our names and their refusal to acknowledge their mistake. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, the manager dismissed our concerns and ultimately barred us from returning.
