Joe E., the owner commissioned a motorcycle project for me and ruined my gas tank and my gas cap. The gas tank is a OEM $1,800 item and the gas cap is a OEM $179 item. He was to powder coat my tank and my gas cap for an agreed price of $150. The powder coating job was not applied correctly resulting in over spray or over powdering an area which look like drips when done and it was discussed with him that it needed to be corrected and he refused to correct it. (Photos of blemishes are below) He completely destroyed my tank by allowing sand blasting plastic bead material to sit in my gas tank while he cooked the powder coat on at 400°. The beads were then melted in my gas tank and he called that "normal" which it is not. Any foreign materials are suppose to be emptied before cooking it by air blasting it all out or he could have sealed off the areas into the tank and blasted it without trying to clean out the inside to ensure no plastic would be able to get inside. He told me he would disassemble my gas cap and he never did and also cooked it and it now resulted in the gas cap not holding the tumbler in place and the Indian dealership mechanics couldn't even fix and said it needed to be replaced. This project went from $150, to now replacing my tank and my gas cap putting me out almost $2,000. I tried to resolve the issue by going by there again and politely pulling him away from his employees to not escalate the situation asking him to replace my gas cap at minimum and he refused the offer and refused a refund. He then persisted to blast this situation on social media, lying and twisting his words to make it out that he was the victim. That's when I decided to post an honest review about the situation that truthfully occurred on Google reviews. After seeing that he blasted the situation is then when I posted my review and contacted the BBB. I was trying to take care of this without any recourse to the business but he refused to work with me in any way.
