    I took my Selmer super action 80 tenor in to have a dent removed in the neck and the repair technician damaged the neck finish and made the dent worse.

    I contacted Lunsford's music prior to bringing my saxophone in for the repair on 2/7/2020. I asked them specifically if that was a repair that they could complete successfully. I have all those conversations documented. They assured me that they could do the repair easily. However when the neck came back after the repair attempt the lacquer finish was damaged horribly with burnt black scuffs in two lines across the body of my neck. It looked completely unprofessional and ruined the appearance of my neck.
    It's extremely frustrating to have your instrument damaged further by an inexperienced repair technician. I was looking for a professional repair without further damage and a flawless final outcome. It can be done however it does require experience and care. I do expect to be compensated for that additional damage. It's just not professional to ruin my instrument and bill me for your work. If you were an auto body shop I'd expect you to fix my car and have the repair in flawless new condition and un noticible.

    I understand that this customer is upset because he owns a professional grade saxophone that is damaged. I have been unable to locate a repair ticket in this customer's name on the date he has provided. Lunsford's Music has successfully performed thousands of dent removals from brass instruments and these never call for the use of heat. Therefore I remain unconvinced that Lunsford's is responsible for the damage to this saxophone neck. As previously stated, I am willing to repair the dent in an effort to resolve this complaint.
