Tennessee may have the most incompetent run local governments in the United States. First Utility District ("FUD") is a state-chartered entity functioning in Knox County and is run by three appointed commissione** **** **** ** *** ****** ***** ***** ************* *** ********* ** *** ****** ***** *** ***** ********* ****** ********* *** ****** ***** *******, appointed Darla *****l, John ******, and Richard ****** in which "Our commissioners love to serve you. Each of our commissioners are appointed by the County Mayor for a four-year term. Interested in attending our monthly board meeting?" *********************************************** .
It is important to note that the public has no idea what FUD is doing or that FUD received 10 million in addition to the 8 million. In fact every meeting they have is in violation of the Sunshine Act. Further they FUD did not answer the complaint. Why are they charging the residents of Farragut double?
    Thank you BBB!

Several months ago a man came to my house and asked if First Utility could put a fire hydrant on my property. I said no because my property is mostly wooded. There are many places on this road that trees would not be destroyed for a fire hydrant. On June 14 they came here and cut out a large section of my property. At least 2 cars could park in the place they cut out. They also completely cut out at least 2 dozen trees. They put their fire hydrant in. It is easy to pull into my property now and use it for a dump. I can't see it from my house. Ian close to 80 years old and recently broke my hip. I guess I will either have to clean the site or pay with my social security to have it cleaned. I called their office and was told at least 3 times they have the "right " to do something like that. They should have to notify someone when they are going to ruin their property. They are a monopoly and they know they can get away with destroying anyones property. I have told the truth and if not send them a copy of this and let them sue. I don't see how you can say they have an excellent record. I've read bad reviews about them on the internet. I may not hear a word back from you but I will not stop sending emails, text and letters until I let a lot of people know what they are capable of. I feel like when that man came here and saw an old woman he knew exactly where he was going to put the hydrant. Why did he even bother to ask? They destroyed a big section of my yard but were not about to bother anyone else's property, especially the 2 businesses, one across the street and one vacant spot adjacent to my property. It will be a business some day but has been vacant for years. They didn't have trees to ruin but apparently more clout than the old woman.
