I was sold this product, but was advised to work towards getting the product "free" by signing up family and friends for their demo's.
They say I cannot close this account. I cannot afford this payment and this is price gouging. The product itself is nowhere near what is advertised. There is a reason these aren't sold in stores. MLM tactics.Business Response

Thank you for reaching out,
As you were made aware the night of purchase the you would have a 3 day recession date from your date of purchase 5/18/24 as described below:
"Cooling-off Rule is a rule that allows you to cancel a contract within a few days (usually three days) after signing it. As explained by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the federal cooling-off rules gives the consumer three days to cancel certain sales for a full refund. The seller is required by law to inform the buyer at the time of the sale about their right to cancel and to provide the buyer with a copy of the sales contract and two copies of the cancellation form. The right to cancel lasts until the midnight of the third business day after the sale.
The FTC’s cooling off rule applies to sale , lease , or rental of consumer goods and services having a value of at least $25, made anywhere other than the seller’s normal place of business. This rule includes sales made at trade shows, conventions and applies even when a salesperson makes a presentation in your home."This law is designed to protect the consumer and the seller for purchases and this date of cooling-off and/or recession was 5/22/24.
Your contract that you received the night of your purchase on 5/18/24 would have been sent to you by the finance company United Consumers. We do not service loans at our local branch, it is held by the finance company United Consumers.

This was a in-home demonstration for a rainbow vacuum cleaner that was disguised by a small air purifier that was free. The sale representative and her sales partner were pushy, overloading us with information, and stayed in our home from 6pm until 11:30pm on a Tuesday night which kept us and our son up way past our normal bedtime. They did not disclose a return policy on their product, We initially told both sales representatives no to their product demonstration and they would not leave our home until we basically agreed to purchase the rainbow vacuum cleaner from them. We just got to fully use it yesterday and we were not satisfied and wished to return it for a refund. I tried to start a return on their product this morning with the sales representative and I was told that the return policy was only 3 days, which was not disclosed by her on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023. So far, I have tried to talk with the sales representative about a return and they will not give me their supervisor /manager’s name or number for a return of the product. We just want the company to take their product back that we do not wish to keep and out of the financing agreement with them.Business Response

Thank you for reaching out. We strive for clarity between us and our customers. As far as your initial concerns of it being disguised as something other than a Rainbow demo, We were booked by a friend of yours to see the demonstration of the air purifier. We cannot control what your friends told you, but it was not under any disguise on our part. We do not train our sales reps to be pushy or aggressive in any way. I have notated in your file that we were more than generous in offering you the option to have your first payment due in 90 days rather than the normal payment due date of 30 days. In regards to cancellation dates.. The cancel notice is discussed 3 times. The first time verbally and the second and third time contractually in writing. The contract you signed just after 9 pm on 11/7/23 was emailed to you opened and signed by you on 11/07/2023. This signed copy was also sent to you from United Consumer Financial Services (UCFS). Your contract is currently held by them. I am attaching a copy of that signed contract for your records.
OUr records also reflect that you attended our Welcome NIght on 11/14/2023 in requirements of your show and tell program, Which would indicate that your original plan was to complete the referral /show and tell program.
We are still committed to helping you complete your program. The 72 hour cancellation date is mandated by the state of Tennessee. Please feel free to contact our Marketing Department at ************ to get your program completed.
Thank You!

We were doing our friend a favor, and allowed a demonstration for a Rainbow air purifier by a representative from what we thought was Rainbow, but we now know is Bow Life, LLC.
We decided not to keep the vacuum/air purifier because we felt we rushed in to a decision because: it was 11 pm, we care about cleanliness, and we thought the product was good.
We made a few errors because we signed up for a 12 show program to try to reduce the cost of the product. When we studied the terms of the 12 shows and the contract, we became very concerned.
Bow Life, LLC representative left us a folder indicating that we had all of the signed paperwork. We have discovered that she did not leave us a copy one piece of paper that was signed- that paper probably has some important details on it, but the representative and the company don’t make communication easy on the customer.
Per the finance contract: we have 72 hours to- hand deliver the notices of cancellation to Bow Life, LLC at the address listed in Knoxville, which we did. Second, we took pictures and video as proof that it was delivered to the two employees who identified themselves as Bow Life, LLC employees. We called and texted the sales representative as well stating the notices of cancellation was delivered, although the contract that was left for us did not state this as a step.
3. We called and emailed both the finance company and Bow Life, LLC. Bow life listed a few phone numbers. So we called all that were listed and registered with knox county.
4. The sales rep texted back and said her manager will reach out to us Friday.
Here’s the issue- FRIDAY is after 72 hours! I do not understand how a company can state you have 72 hours and then not communicate within the timeframe of a contract and you can’t get anyone to give you copies of the paperwork they brought but only have unsigned copies for you?
This company should not be allowed to make it this difficult to comply with their rules. Buyer beware!Customer Answer

I think I got it resolved because I delivered the rainbow product to the company’s office and they took receipt of it. I got a call from the owner and I think I’m not being charged any money.

On February 20th we decided to buy the Rainbow Vacuum and do the program that allows you to get it for free. We had our complete list of people willing to book the 12 shows to finish our program. We started our program on March 27th, and on March the 29th we booked our first shows for April the 3rd, 4th, and 6th. All were cancelled on the 3rd, but we only found that out after we reached out to Keona from marketing shortly before the first showing. She told us that she would get back with us on April the 7th with a schedule to rebook our shows. We called marketing and got Rachel on the 7th around lunch; still no schedule. Rachel said she would reach out to us later in the day with a schedule to rebook... No call back, no email, no contact through the app, nothing regarding this issue. After no information was relayed to us and while 28 more of our 45 days ticked away, we finally went to the Knoxville office in person on April 24th and politely expressed our concerns, and were told that they could not reach us because they didn't have our phone numbers. This was obviously untrue, as they had messaged us on unrelated topics in the meantime (screenshots attached). They later blamed their lack of communication on the sister office who would not respond to them, although according to that office they were communicative as promptly as possible with information, and it was not relayed to us. We have talked to customer service, who offered us $100 and finally told us frankly that they did not want us to book any more shows, a sentiment we also share, because of their apparent willingness to let the time run out for us and people we referred, and their lack of interest in keeping their word. Based our experience and our last call with customer service it appears that they sign people up for their program, then frustrating them into giving up, and paying up. Bow Life LLC has through their actions made completing their program impossible, and left us with a $3821.57 bill.Business Response

As the customer stated they did an in home demonstration for the Rainbow cleaning system on 2/20/23. Also as the customer stated they did not book the first demo on the program until 4/3/23.. Which is 32 days from the date of her demo. We do not normally allow that long. The program is supposed to start from date of sale and you have 45 days to run the first 6 demos(per the signed paperwork that customer attached to this complaint), However, as a courtesy to the customer we allowed them more time to start the program as they were going out of the country. The shows were booked in South Carolina ( customer lives in Tennessee). We had to book the shows thru another office within that territory. Our marketing team told **** ***** we were waiting on this office to send us the schedule of when they had a rep available. The 3 shows that were booked and placed on "stand by"- which means they would try to find a rep available to cover the show, but cannot guarantee it did not run due to not having a rep available. When we finally got the schedule of the reps available in the SC office , The Marketing team called **** ***** to schedule the shows and she refused to reschedule them. We explained to her that we were at the mercy of another company due to them being in another state. We even offered to send her a $100 Visa gift card for the inconvenience and explained that we had no control over when the reps in another state were available to run a demo for us. Customer Service also explained to **** ***** that we would allow her to restart her dates and start fresh so that time would not be against her to which she declined. She stated she wanted to return her Rainbow cleaning system and cancel the contract. I explained to her that cancelling the contract was not an option as too much time had passed since her purchase on 2/20/23. The cancellation date for the retail installment agreement was 2/23/2023 and that date has long passed. After several lengthy phone calls trying to resolve this matter for them they decided that their next course of action would be to file a complaint with BBB. We have tried everything we can to help them and give them the opportunity to be successful in completing the program, However the only thing we believe that will satisfy them is to cancel the transaction, which is not an option given the time frame allowed for cancellation of the contract in the state of Tn.
