We contracted America's Home Place to build our home in late 2020. We were assured that should any major issues arise our warranty would cover it. On July 30th we advised, as instructed by the main office, ***** ******* the warranty manager of issues regarding our roof. Our insurance agency sent out a surveyor to survey our roof. They advised we may need a full roof replacement and that we need the contractor to come out take a look at the roof, assess damages and provide a letter on their letter head stating the roof is good or in need of repair and possibly replacement. When we heard back from America's Home Place we were advised by the new warranty manager ***** ******** that ***** no longer works there and ***** is cleaning up his "mess" at first ***** said he wasn't sure our issues would be handled or not but advised me he would work for a quick resolution. On top of the roof issues we have cracked times in our master bath leading me to believe the tiles were damaged before install and we have faulty LVP flooring in our kitchen. All of this was brought to the attention of ***** when he came to the house in Oct 2022 and he assured us the tiles and LVP would be replaced. So now ***** no longer works there and apparently did not leave notes for our issues based on the several phone calls we had. After a few phone calls with ***** I felt America's Home Place would rectify the issue very quickly since I advised ***** that our insurance will drop us in October if this is not resolved. Then I contacted ***** for follow up on 9/18/2023 and his response left me speechless, he stated "well they are a sub contractor and we can't rush them" to which I said "even though our insurance will likely be dropped" his response was a very short "yup even though" I then contacted AHP office in Kodak TN and left a voicemail stating my concers and have not heard from them yet as of 9/22/2023. We are now having other issues with our roof and are fearful AHP is not going to uphold their warranty as promised. We have exposed roof and are not very pleased with them. Their employment issues should not impact us to the point of possibly losing insurance on our largest purchase.

Hello. My wife and I hired America's Home Place to build our new home on our lot in 2020. We went through the design and building plans on how we wanted the home built. We also met with the project manager at the beginning build process. I had discussed with him about my concerns of water issues with the crawlspace and had asked him several times if we would need a sump pit and pump to take care of any water coming in. He looked at my wife and I and told us that "there was no need for one and that he guaranteed that it would be bone dry of any water". As you can see in the photos there has been significant amount of water coming into our crawlspace each time we have rain. We were not told if there was any French drain put in around the perimeter of our house and also no waterproofing was used to seal the whole exterior block wall. We were only sent 4 pictures of the block wall going up but not waterproofing and drainage line installed. We are concerned about possible mold damage and structural support damage to support post that are subjected to water damage as well. Our septic tank area was not back filled properly which caused a sink hole which was already there by the back side of garage and septic tank. The hole is about 8 to 12 feet long and deep enough to see our septic tank. Our back yard is nothing but deep uneven ruts. This also should have been done right when the septic was put in. The windows and doors were not installed properly. We have windows that will not open and close easily and some that looked like were used and damaged. Windows are not flush to the siding to seal out air and noise. Both front entry and back entry doors were not installed right. We have hot and cold air that comes in all of the time. The weather stripping has been replaced but it did not take care the problem. If you put more weather stripping on you can not open or shut the doors. We had to put blankets down along back door floor to keep the cold air from coming inside.

BBB CASE#: 8078174. I have talked with a regional manager. I had discussed with him the issues that still need to be resolved. I told him about the rear door needs to be replaced with a new patio slider. I also told him about the windows that needed to be replaced or reinstalled due to that some frames are broken, and some windows are not flush and stick out too far from exterior wall. Now we wait for someone to come here and look over the windows to see what can be done to correct the problems.
