    Ellis delivery driver (or subcontractor) drove thru part of our yard while making the delivery despite signage advising them of a different direction to take. Only after several attempts to reach out to them did they get back to me. Then their insurance carrier asked me to fill out a claim form which I did. After several days, the insurance company said the carrier needed their own claim form filled out which I did. Several weeks later, no response until I reached out again. They requested than I get 2 estimates to which I said they would need to schedule the estimates. Still another delayed response indicating a low ball offer based on an estimate they received. I know for a fact that no one ever came to see the damage. Requested a copy of the estimate and to schedule a site visit for the second estimate. No response for weeks until I reached out. Then a slightly higher offer was made. After a few back and forths, I agreed to a slightly higher offer but only if it could be done immediately. After more than a week, no response. Then I reached out again and they indicated their accountant just got back from vacation and a check would be cut with the next check run. Still a week later, no check or response. Just one delay after another. Meanwhile I am having to mow around the yard damage.

    I am rejecting this response because: it took entirely too long and too many efforts to get here. I made it clear I would accept the settlement only if it arrived timely.

    they received the check on the amount agreed. the corporate account was involved the WHOLE time. they consider this small claim is closed.  this is final and consider is closed when he deposited the check. claim close.
