    I would like to begin by stating that I would never write a review like this normally. However, I feel this review is necessary in order to help ensure that no one else has to go through the same experience that I did.
    I took a 1996 ***** Ram 2500 (12 Valve Cummins) to Macon Diesel July 12, 2022. The truck needed a head gasket, as it was blown and leaking water into the oil. I decided to go ahead and have it head-studded with ARP 425's while it was there.
    Adam at Macon Diesel (the owner) had the head sent off to a "machine shop" to have the head checked within a month of me dropping it off. Long story short I got the run-around from Adam and his employees for about 3 months from that point on. At the end of this interaction I paid Macon Auto Diesel & Truck Repair a very substantial sum of money for parts and services rendered. That payment included payment for completely refurbished head.
    I checked the oil in January, 2023 and found that there was water in it again, so I sent it back to Macon Diesel to have it compression tested. They stated to me that they tested it multiple times and the head gasket did not show any signs of leaks. (This also happened to be close to the time that 90-day warranty expired, go figure.)
    Fast-forward to May 9, 2023, the truck is being worked on by a different mechanic, and said mechanic finds that the head was never re-worked, just cleaned to make it look as if it had been once it was put back on the truck. The head gasket was also blown in three different places. Of the 16 head bolts, only four were torqued correctly. The rest were so loose that they were taken off by hand with a 3/8 ratchet.
    All around shoddy work, poor time management, and excuses seem to be the norm for Macon Auto Diesel & Truck Repair. I would not recommend them to anyone.
