The Marshall Tribune newspaper sent a renewal notice in July 2023. I sent in a check for $36. My bank account shows that my check was cashed on July 14 2023 by ADQ-NT Classified East ********. It was announced later that the newspaper offices closed on July 15. There is no plan to reopen. They had to have known they were closing. It was very dishonest of them to cash checks when they knew they were closing. Now when I call the offices no one answers. There is a new newspaper that has bought them out called the Marshall County Post. The new paper says they are not honoring previous subscriptions since its an all new company. So where does that leave all of us who have paid for subscriptions? Do we just lose our money? I work very hard for my money. $36 may not be alot of money...but there is a principle here. I believe it was very wrong of them to accept money when they knew they were closing!! Any help you could provide would be very much appreciated and I thank you in advance.
