*** ****** with Griffith Plumbing in Loudon TN was hired by us to install a water line from the road to our home in April 2022. Fast forward to July 28, 2022. He has run the line and charged us $10,500 for the job. The water line cost was $7,200. We have both receipts. His agreement was to come back and complete the job the following week, as rain was coming and he did not want to tear up our yard by digging areas of the trench deeper to code, and then covering back up. He was also waiting on a few parts that had not come in yet, and switch those out with the temporary ones he used just to get us hooked up so we had water. We have called him repeatedly and texted him daily for 2 weeks. No response. Yesterday I was able to get him on the phone because I used a different phone number so he picked up the phone. He told me he was "out of town" and was planning to finish the job. He also stated that he has only charged us for the pipe and not the labor, although he was unaware yesterday that we have both receipts because we obtained them from the company that he purchased the piping from. *** assured me that he would call me back "in a half hour" (this was at 2:15 pm on July 27. ) He has yet to return my call, and I have called him repeatedly this morning. His voice-mail box is full. I left him a detailed text message explaining that we would like for him to please pay us back for the labor that he did not complete so we can find someone else to do it if he doesn't plan to finish the job. He has never responded. We arr unsure what to do at this point, but are very concerned that he is a licensed contractor taking the money of people in the community in a very dishonest and unethical way. I have uploaded photos but some may be unclear. I am happy to provide them in a different way if needed. Thank you for your help!
