I went there they had a sign on their wall advertising a full synthetic oil change for $59.99 It ended up being over $72. They had some extra charges like shop supplies,$1.55 and another one Haz **** at $1.55 Totaled $3.10 no where on there sign or hanging in the shop was this extra charge posted. Then they charged me $2.15 for additional oil. Now knowing that most if not all cars use a little more than 5 quarts if you fill the oil filter up with oil prior to installing it. But they pull you in with the $59.99 price. So the real quoted price should have been $65.19 + tax of 6.06 totaling $71.29 instead of $59.99 + tax 9.75% $$5.85 total $65.84 instead of $71.29.I had been there before but it had been awhile and I forgot how they upcharged you. And that was why I stopped going there to begin with. Underhanded tactics to raise the actual price that you get shocked with at the end of $5.25. +.21 extra tax. So $5.46 difference in the bill. I protested it and she just laughed at me. You should be informed of all extra charges if any before you agree to let them work in your car. Except Tsx we all expect to pay that one. As far as Im concerned a man who operated his own business for 29 yrs. This is underhanded and crooked. I couldnt have ever imagined doing a job for someone and at the end. Saying I know the contract or advertised price went up because of some obscure charges I didnt inform you about at the beginning. No other station even ******* that I have ever had my oil changed at has ever done this kinda sleight of hand to me. *************************** a 64 year old man who has lived a little. I should have known better. As you can see I never authorized these extra charges. Never was shown this paper till I paid the bill. No where on this sheet does it say only 5 quarts of oil included in Price. I would have left and not had it done there.

First as a company we would like to apologize for the inconvenience of this situation.  However we have a sign on the wall showing that a full synthetic oil change is $59.99 plus tax, but it also states on the same sign that it only includes 5 qts of oil.  With the particular car the individual has it takes 5.30 qts of oil, so we charge $7.14 per additional qt of oil for full synthetic, we only charged $2.14 for the additional oil for the customer.  So instead of charging the full price of a quart of oil we only charge a fraction of the price.  We only charge the customer the necessary amount for the materials we use, that also includes the haz mat charge we have to pay a company to pick up our old oil to be removed safely.  And we are paying $6.57 per gallon of oil they pick up, so instead of charging the full price of disposal fee we only charge a percentage of that cost to the customer.  With that in mind its the same principal for the shop supplies.  It costs $6 for a can of brake cleaner and $20 a week in shop rages, so instead of charging the full price for the break cleaner and the full price of the rags we only charge a percentage.  We once again apology for the inconvenience of the situation, however we are only charging a fraction of the actual cost of the materials to the customer.

July 21, 2023 I went to the business for an oil change. I sat there for about one hour and a half before anyone told me there was a problem with my oil pan but they had already started grinding it down. After another 30 minutes they came to get me and show me a hairline crack in the pan right where they grinder down near the oil pan plug

Customer was informed there was an oil leak, oil tech informed the service writer he thought the drain plug gasket might be leaking. He replaced drain plug and gasket at no cost to customer and once filled tech still found oil leaking. Head tech investigated the issue and found the oil pan had a hair line crack extending from the drain plug. ******** responded he had his oil change at ******* last. Head tech Built an estimate to repair and informed customer of cost and outcome if not repaired. Customer declined repair and instructed service writer to just finish oil change and he would be leaving. Under the circumstances customer was unaware that he had a pre existing oil leak previous to the oil change he came in for and we took the extra time to investigate the issue. Tech even took customer and showed him the leak and where it was coming from. Customer unfortunately believes his warranty is voided due to paint removal on oil pan to identify the source of the leak. In hindsight we were trying to help him keep his warranty due to it being an external leak that could cause catastrophic damage if the vehicle was run low on oil and was not addressed.

I am rejecting this response because:

the business lied about how they handled the situation they had no business grinding in a oil pan to fix a leak they didnt warn me or inform me about the leak before the messed up so there for I feel as if they were up to no good in the first place I sat there for 1 hour and 30 minutes for an oil change and before I asked what took so long I was not informed on any issues it wasnt until I did ask that the lady at the register went to ask and then I was told they was waiting on tools. When they finally showed me what was wrong with the oil pan the pan was grinder and damaged to were oil would leak
