I had a deck partially rebuilt in Oct-Nov 2021, by ***** ***** who owns Go get em handyman. With in 6mths, the deck started falling apart. I paid $6K AND DISABLED. The railing is unsafe, not braced correctly, half the deck boards only had 2 nails, the side banister main posts are not even. One corner post dropped 8inches because it was mounted by screws just to the sides. No notch cut to attach to the decking. I originally filed with the state and his response was "I didn't have experience to determine if the job was correct", however, I know that things shouldn't be falling apart after 6 mths. I have yet heard anything from the state. I only asked for 1/2 of the money back, because I felt I could use most of the material. Since this has been dragged out....more damage and unusable material has increased. The gate that was also built, sagged after 3weeks. I am unable to open or close it myself. I tried calling and texting *** *****, who would never respond, until I texted that I would file a complaint against him. He finally replied with "I Was going to call you tomorrow, but you treated my license, so good bye". A friend has taken brackets to hold the banisters together. But its not solid. And the deck is about 10 foot from the ground. This guy takes advantage of single women. Even his partner (builder) said he was hot headed. Mr Craig also claimed I kep making changes. This is no true. I had several projects and since it took them longer than promised, I said I would contact him in the spring. Unfortunately, the contact wasn't for more work, but for my deck falling apart. I have had several men come out and was in shock at the poor job and what I paid for. I now believe $3,000 refund is reasonable.
