*************** completed in October November November 18th: called evening to report issue and spoke with **** December December 7th: breakdown in ***********, ** December 8th: spoke with **** and shared Jeep was reporting codes P300, P302, P0522 and P219b January January 3rd: spoke with **** and coordinated Jeep drop off at Steves Auto Shop January 24th: spoke to **** and informed me that the Jeeps engine was destroyed and had no more life. Stated there was an oil leak somewhere. I informed **** that I routinely schedule oil changes at Take 5 Oil and that I could provide receipts for the last 2 years if needed. No one had reported or observed any oil leaks up to date. **** explained that it would need a new engine based on what they had observed. January 29th: Called **** for an update and mentioned they would plan to look and provide pictures and video January 30th: Called **** again. **** was not available so ****** (co-owner) called back and said they would plan to look at it the next morning. ****** mentioned that they could not detect a leak anywhere, which was different from what **** had mentioned earlier in the month.January 31st: Went to Steves Auto Shop and looked at the Jeep with ****, ******, and the mechanic. The Jeep was brought to us on 09/07/23 with upper engine noise. We installed rockers, lifters, and two camshafts to repair noise. Vehicle left and drove approximately 6300 miles and five months before the engine died. Customer towed vehicle back to us. We found main bearing failure and recommended engine be replaced. At the time we were not sure if the damage was caused by us. The main bearings are in the lower part of the engine which we did not work on but non the less we weren't sure. I offered to credit part of the previous repairs towards engine replacement. The customer declined my offer and towed vehicle away to get a second opinion. I spoke with the Jeep dealer that the customer took it to and was informed that the engine failure that occurred has nothing to do with the repairs that we performed. They also stated that this is a common issue with Jeeps that have over ****** miles. This one has ****** miles. *** knowing that we did not cause the issue at hand I do not feel the need to pay for part of the repairs.Business Response

They didnt fix my **** ******* Cars sponge breaks at all. First time they changed the front pads and rotors and charged $590.46 on 7/29/2022. After I got my car back, the spongy brakes didnt get fixed at all. Had to return my car to them. They said found something else wrong and had to replace the rear wheel cylinder, charged me another $369.86 on 8/16/2022. However, the spongy brakes issue didnt get fixed at all and even worse I got the huge machine parts noises coming from the area where they worked on. I got worried about the safety issue with all these problems. My friend suggested me to take my car to a **** dealership having the brakes inspected by a professional **** technician: their diagnosis is the bad work did from the last time messed up the Hydraulic Central Unit and the left over fluid plus the inappropriately assembled back shoes caused the noise. The total amount to get it fixed is almost $1300 as the next step. When I reached out to Steves ************East *******. They recognized their mistake however they only compensated with $369.86. I requested them to give me the full refund which is the remaining $590.46 also need to be refunded so that I can go ahead to get the brakes fixed which will cost another $1300.Business Response

I had the vehicle towed to Steves tires on July 11, 2022, I was told that I needed a fuel pump, spark plugs and the sensor will be $1500.ish. I approve of the work. I called on several occasions to inquire about the vehicle. I was told that the wrong part was sent. On August 4, 2022, I was advised that they could not fix my vehicle because there was something wrong with the computer and I needed to pick it up. I have to vehicle tow on August 5, 2022. I had the vehicle towed to another shop and I was advised I had to pick it up because the vehicle was never reassembled. I called ***** and asked to speak to the manager. I was advised the manager was not there. I asked if I could leave a message and they said yes. I have not heard anything back from them. I am requesting ***** to replace my screws and The cost to get it reassembled. I would like to get a percentage of all the work that still has a warranty on it because I have no intentions of bringing my vehicle back to this Business.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:The manager called me to advise me that he never received my message and apologized for that he was very nice and professional he advised that the tech did state that he did not resemble the vehicle because he thought it would be easier for the next person to work on it. He stated that they will tow the vehicle
and reassembled on them. he was going to give me a call back once he set up the tow. I never heard back from the manager then one day the tow truck was here and at that time it was other vehicles blocking the vehicle I advise the tow guy that I wasnt aware that they were on their way and I need to get these vehicles moved before theyll be able to get the Land Rover .he had his manager call me she was super nice then The tow guy came back out a couple of days later and advise that I need to get this car this is the second time hes been out here and he wants to know what is going on and I advised him that *****'s never reassembled my vehicle so they are trying to get it back to correct the error and he said all would let me stay out of it. I went ahead and got the vehicle reassembled so now Im out $200. The manager is Very professional but his employee and his third-party company are not and Im just requesting a refund.
Sincerely,

******, our store manager offered to tow the vehicle back to our shop at our expense and reassemble on a date agreed upon by ***************. As for the tow truck going back a second time, we were not aware of that. We tried to correct the issue for *************** and the vehicle not being available to tow on the date she agreed to is not something we can control. I feel like we offered to correct the issue and not sure why the vehicle was not available on the date she agreed to. SteveCustomer Answer
