Hello,I hope you can help. My wife is ***************************. Her father ************************* purchased plots at Memorial Park Southwoods back in the ****s. He passed away and was buried in the cemetery in 2007. My wifes moms name was placed on the headstone along with her birth date.On March 6 of this year my wifes mom ******************************* passed away. She had prepaid arrangements with Memorial Park Funeral Home on Poplar. On March 7 we went to Memorial Park to finish the arrangements. Of course not everything was paid for and we had to come out our pocket a significant amount. We left the funeral home and went to Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery. The lady working in the office pulled paperwork and lead ** to believe everything was taken care of. We left in relief thinking we would not have to come up with more money. The next day the cemetery called ** saying it was going to cost ** $1500 to bury her mom. We put it on a credit card. The lady from the cemetery came to our home for me to sign off on the charge. The funeral and burial were completed on March 11. The cemetery looked pitiful and unkept. My wife went back to the cemetery on April 2 for her fathers birthdate to find the headstone was two or more isles away from their ******. She complained to the employee in the office and she was told it was due to weather. They told her it would be taken care of by April 12.My wife went back this past Sunday for Mothers Day hoping to place flowers on her mothers grave. The headstone was still not in place and she was devastated. She was told today it was placed at their feet. Is a headstone not supposed to be at the head and not the feet? Now while complaining about the issue today she was told we have to paid $763 for a new scroll with her moms information when there is already a scroll with the birthday. Why cant they add the death date the scroll already there instead of making us buy a whole new one?Definitely do not tell all details initially
