                        Refund request

Ms. *  contacted us by phone on 10/25/2022 to advise that she had not received a check issued on 7/1/2022 in the amount of $103.45.
She states that she had contacted us previously about this, but we have NO record of the contact.

At the time of sale, she was given the option to have a check mailed to her address, which was confirmed by the cashier, OR to pick up the funds in CASH at our facility after a 5-day holding period (for the sale of copper) that is required by City Ordinance. She opted to have a check mailed.

After a check leaves our facility, the matter of delivery by USPS is out of our hands

In the event that a check is lost or stolen after it leaves our facility, our company policy is to verify the correct mailing address was used on the check, verify that check has not cleared the bank, and wait 14 days past the mailing of the check to make sure it has had sufficient time to reach the  destination or be returned to us. After that time, the customer has the option to either pay the $35 stop payment fee( that is charged by the bank to us), or to continue to wait and see if  the check arrives. (I* there was an error in the making of the check, including an incorrect address, the company absorbs the stop payment fee)

Because there was NO ERROR on our part, this option was offered and explained repeatedly to Ms. * during our 10/25/2022 conversation

She stated that she had already spoken to us about this missing check (Again, we have no record of that conversation). However, she did state that she was previously told that A*TER waiting additional time,  she WOULD NOT have to pay the bank  stop payment fee . This is NOT the policy and was never an offered option for her. Ms. * became louder and more aggressive on the phone with the office manager. The office manager clearly explained what the available options were. Ms. * then questioned whether or not the check was EVER mailed, and if the company "does this" to other customers. Ms. * was texted a screen shot of the check, showing that the correct mailing address was used.
At this point, Ms * was yelling into the phone. The office manager disconnected the call.
Ms. * immediately called back and said she was going to contact the BBB.
The Office manager then  wrote down detailed notes of the conversation.

At this time, and in an effort to close this matter, Iskiwitz will offer  Ms. * full payment of her ticket in the amount of $103.45. She will need to pick the check up in person, as we will not send another piece of mail to her at the address provided. She may also send another person to pick the check up, provided we are notified in advance, and that person has Ms. *. ID in hand. This is company policy as well.
