I would like to say thank you to Homeway Construction for all the work they did on the restoration of my home. They were very prompt from the very first phone call. ************************* was here to locate the problem and ************************* was here to see it through. All the different crew members that came and worked each day cleaned up everyday before leaving. The work they did from tiling, flooring, and plumbing are to be commended. Homeway construction repaired my family's condo after extensive water damage. they were completely transparent in their estimates and deadlines of completion. also ****** in their insurance department made working with insurance claims so easy. In August 2023, Homeway Construction abandoned my project (rebuilding a detached 1-story garage) unfinished, after 17 months of highly intermittent work. Throughout that time, Homeway would ghost for weeks or months, forcing me to call repeatedly to find out the status, wasting my time and setting my project back further. After more than 3 months with no response to calls or emails, I had to hire a new contractor to complete the work. Before they abandoned the project, Homeway failed to apply for electrical and framing permits before the insulation was installed, requiring all the insulation to be pulled back out to allow for inspections. The framing permit was never sorted out at all, so when I hired the new contractor, I had to (again) pay for a framing permit, to reinstall insulation, and eventually a new electrical permit, because the original subcontractor has refused to come back and complete the electrical work. Also left unfinished: the interior walls, electrical outlets and breaker box, light fixtures, door lock, handles. The electricity was not connected from the house to the garage. Remaining construction debris (leftover siding, lumber, paint buckets, sawhorses, plywood sheets, nails, etc.) was not cleaned up. By the time the project was abandoned, most of these materials had been sitting on my driveway for at least 8 months. The debris contained ***** nails, splintered wood, and other safety hazards for my child and pets.Extra concrete from the batch used to create a ramp to the garage floor was dumped into the drainage ditch behind the garage. This concrete was not removed, despite Homeway's assurance that it would be corrected. Hiring a new contractor to re-do parts of the project and to complete the unfinished parts will cost me almost $10,000 more than the original estimate. Save yourself, and do not hire Homeway Construction.Homeway Construction and Restoration

Firstly, we want to provide some context to the complexities of your project. The detached garage currently sits on top of the property line of the lot. Our team had been in ongoing communication with the ***************, seeking clarity on building permissions due to the unique circumstances of your detached garage. Its location on the property requires special permissions, and we were working diligently to determine if it is grandfathered in for the Planning Department's requirements. However, we continuously ran into lack of correspondence back from the *************** on this matter.
Additionally, the impact of a large tree on the garage necessitated a thorough assessment. We adhere to industry standards, utilizing guidelines set by the ***** AWC, and IRC. To ensure an unbiased evaluation. We also brought in a *********************** firm to provide precise guidance on the reconstruction of the structure.
We understand your frustration with the intermittent work and communication lapses. We genuinely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the delays and the breakdown in communication. Our intention has never been to leave you feeling neglected or ghosted.
Concerning the permitting issues, we found ourselves in a stalemate with the *************** regarding the final issuance of permits. We deeply regret the additional expenses and inconvenience this has caused you.
Your safety concerns about construction debris and the disposal of materials have been duly noted. We are committed to addressing these matters promptly and ensuring a safe environment for future customers.

Homeway has so far replaced *******, renovated 2 bathrooms, and did water mitigation and renovated 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms after a flood. My next project is my kitchen and I won't look at anyone but Homeway. Quality work. Quality people.Homeway Construction and Restoration

They had to rebuild the bathroom from the sub flooring up. ************************* did a professional job and got it completed in a ****** ******. My bathroom has never looked so good I will recommend them on any future projects. I gave ***** permission to do it the way he thought would look the best. Homeway rushed in to rescue me from a paint job I started but quickly became overwhelmed with! They painted tall walls and lots of trim in 2 days and left my house incredibly clean!Since then, I have had them help with some plumbing and electrical issues. Super efficient and timely.
