I am reaching out to you for help because of an ongoing issue with ***. I have a 2016 *** ****** and the check engine light comes on often for Misfire 4 cylinder and oil consumption on the engine. I am the original owner of this vehicle. The engine has a recall and the spark plugs needs to be changed out frequently because of it. I have reached out to *** to resolve the issue and the only result they seem to have is to do a tune up and engine flush (out of my expense). I am not understanding why this happens and they only bandage the issue. The beginning of the year (February 2022) they did a tune up and the issue is constantly happening. I am tired of not being able to get the issue resolved and no one being able to help. I have receipts and documentation that I have purchased spark plugs to assure my car to run properly. Apparently, my engine is bad and they refuse to replace it. I am left to pay & bandage my car every few months because of a bad engine. The onsite team members have verified that my car has NO leaks and I will have to put oil in my car every week because of the recalled bad engine. They stated that the engine will not be replaced unless it is knocking, basically torn completely up before it can be replaced. I would like to have a properly working vehicle that has no engine leak or misfires. I will continue to have problems with this car if they do not fix the underlying issue. I have been patient from the beginning but I can not continue to allow *** to over talk me and not get to the point. The associate named ******* at the *** *************************** location admitted that my car will continue to have issues because of the bad engine. I am completely exhausted and out of options. Do not I repeat Do not do business with ***************. You are not that hard up for an Audi. Go somewhere else...anywhere besides them. I took my truck there to have the A/C fixed in which I paid them for. It didn't last a month and when I took it back, they want me to pay for it again. While my truck is in their possession, I was told it would not start at all and want me to pay them $3000 to fix it. They called me the other day to say....get this...they will deliver my truck anywhere I would like if I pay the $3000 plus come in and buy the compressor for my A/C and pay them to install it. I am rejecting this response because: I took my vehicle to have the A/C only fixed and they are bringing up other things that they fixed and want me to pay for. Just say that the techs don't know how to fix it. I talked to a licensed tech and was told water leakage has nothing to do with the A/C going out. And my truck was running fine when I brought it to Audi to fix the A/C. What does that have to do with the truck not starting. Can you take your car to the shop for the A/c to be fixed and find out your car wasn't running. Are you going to pay them to fix your car so it can run. No, they are making up things to try and get more money. Then told me that they would have my truck TOWED back to me not running and I drove the truck there.

To whom this may concern, I am from the ******************* I drove with 3 children all the way to ********* for a new opportunity (life, career, etc) 7 months after I got to ********* my engine failed due to a recall from 2018 so they say, however, I got the car back in 2020. To skip forward in this exhausting experience, my car went into the shop on 7-1-2022 after going out on the freeway while I was taking my children to school and going to work. I have been out of a car for over 5 months due to the inconvenience of Gossett Hyundai Services on *************************** in *******, **. I attempted to do a trade in but couldnt afford another down payment! They wanted $3k for another down payment when I had already paid a $2,000 down payment in the vehicle to even get it and my credit was not the best at the time. I have maxcare extended warranty I bought through carmax at the time of purchase. The Hyundai manufacturer went back and forth it took 3 months for them to inform me if it were going to be approved or not (which I was notified last week after calling a million times)they are still awaiting parts and they also have no techs which is what I have been told! So Im looking for my car to be ready end of November! They dont answer the phone much in the services department!I lost my job , rentals in ********* were over $800.00 for a week which was unaffordable! I could no longer get my kids to school. My warranty couldnt get me a rental until I had an approval of the engine to be replaced! Which they only cover for 7 days! I have been out of a car for 4 months! I had to come back to ********** and receive help from family. My car is still in *********! I am being told it will not be done until November! I am requesting a written apology for the inconvenience, also I would like Hyundai Manufacturer to pay to have my vehicle shipped back to ********** once it is ready at no cost to me! I was driving my car yesterday and a message came in my dash saying that my oil temperature was 205 degrees. I called Gossett ********** to make an appointment to bring my car in they told me that it would be 2 weeks. I explained to them that I would need a car to take my disabled wife on her doctor's ************ they said that they would get back with me. So after more than an hour passed and I hadn't heard from them I called them back. They put me on hold for 30 minutes then hung up. Every time I try to call back I can't even get through to them. Now I'm just stuck. My car is still in warranty so I don't understand why they are not even trying to help.Business Response

My car went out on me and was towed to the shop on Thursday 9/1/2022. I was told by the shop that I have been taking my car to for 15 years the catalytic converters were stopped up. I found out there was a recall issued that I never received. This is what I found online....MARCH 4, 2019 *** is recalling 2012-2016 Soul vehicles equipped with 1.6L Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engines. High exhaust gas temperatures may damage the catalytic converter, possibly resulting in abnormal engine combustion, damage to the engine's pistons, and possible piston connecting rod failure. Engine damage can also stall the engine or result in an oil leak, which increases the risk of vehicle fires.I called *** *************************** and talked with the service department and was told there was nothing they could do. I also talked to a supervisor there and was told the same thing and that the warranty had expired. I looked up do car recalls ever expired and this is what I found. When a manufacturer issues a recall for a car because of factory errors or faults, it fixes all affected vehicles for free. But what happens if you only learn that they recalled your vehicle several years after the recall announcement? You may be worried that the dealer would charge you for the repair since the recall was announced a while ago. Car recalls dont expire. So if you find out about the recall years after they issued it, take your car to the nearest dealership to have it fixed. Car recalls dont have a time limit.So according to this my car is still covered under the recall. Since *** did not offer for me to bring it in and have them take care of the repair at no charge, I am asking when I get the bill for having my car repaired that *** reimburse me for their error. The repair is $1500.00 which I had to borrow from the company I work because I did not have the money. I do not have the bill yet so I will not be able to upload since the car is still being repaired.Business Response

I picked my vehicle up on 08/17/22 at Gossett Kia on Mr. ****** and per attached photos, my nice vehicle was damaged on the inside. The service mgr didnt call me back and I had to call him. I asked for them to fix my seats, use their insurance, and Chip was unconcerned and refused. I expected my vehicle returned in the condition I left it.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
The vehicle was in their care when it was damaged so it is their responsibility. I do not believe a rodent did the damage because a water bottle was sitting in one of the holes. A rodent doesnt use water bottles or place them. I believe it was made to look like rodent damage and the cushions were torn out. ****************** called me when I was supposed to pick up my car and said there was a problem with a kink in the engine and *** was sending another one and the one they put in would have to be taken out. I believe he knew at this time my vehicle was damaged but didnt tell me. They also didnt tell me when I picked it up. I saw it backing out. Also, how did a rodent get in my car if it is a rodent which I do not believe? Where my doors or trunk left open? How did the water bottle get in the hole? Why is the cushion foam spread across the back seat if a rodent did it? I spoke to ************** on 8/26/22, he informed me they looked at an aftermarket seat, but it wasnt in good condition for them to purchase it. They said a new seat would cost $4,000. So they would not be paying for repairs, and I could use my insurance. They considered fixing my car, knowing they did not exercise care, but due to the cost of a replacement, they changed their mind. They can also use their insurance, but they refuse to do so, as I have liability insurance and my car is paid for. I asked ************** how would he feel if his car was returned in this condition. He said he wouldnt like it. I dont either. No, they didnt offer to do anything to settle this problem they caused, and I reject their none offers.

In June my wife took our vehicle to gossett kia for a problem (recall)that we were made aware by our personal mechanic. We believed it was fixed on that day. On July 15 we had to take our vehicle back to gossett Kia because it was acting up again. The service tech said he knew what was going on but could not do anything unless the engine locked up. The tech also told us we would not be able to get a loaner car. He asked us are we prepared to wait 6 months for our vehicle to be fixed. It is very inconvenient to have the use of one vehicle. When buy a vehicle you expect it to be running and not have it sit on the dealership lot for 6 months. My wife is not in the best of health and if the vehicle locked up, she would have become very sick in the heat. I called on July 19 and was placed on hold for twenty minutes just to be told it has not been looked at and that the service tech told me he would call me by Friday which he didnt. I called again on July 25 and left a message and again have not heard a thing. I emailed customer service on July 26 and was told someone would get in touch. As of 6:15 central time on July 28 I have not heard from anyone. I am very disappointed and frustrated. It has been almost two weeks and I yet to hear anything. I have started losing trust because when someone tells me something I hold them to their word.Business Response

I purchased a 2017 *** **** + from Carmax in September 2021. I was not aware this motor was involed in a recall or aware of a recall. I have had my vehicle properly serviced at all times. The vehicle was also cleared of a recall item with the *** in Feb ************************************************* of a recall with the motor. On 12 July 22 my motor went out on my vehicle. I contacted Carmax MaxCare to have my vehicle towed to a repair shop to have the vehicle repaired. Meinkie stated the motor has to be replaced due to multiple faulty pieces within the motor. Carmax MaxCare stated a *** ********* had to inspect the vehicle prior to the repairs being authorized. The next day Carmax MaxCare denied the claim due to the vehicle motor being recalled and stated they were informed this had to be serviced by a *** *********** The vehicle was then towed to the dealership where I was told they are backed up and would be 2 months to have the vehicle diagnosed and another 5-6 months to have the repairs completed. Per the website of the dealership, they stated a loaner is supplied for longer repairs however I've been told numerous times they do not have a loaner program. *** corporate has stated they are unable to assist in any ways. 8 months with a vehicle loan to pay, no vehicle and no assistance due to numerous failed areas which there was no notification from ******* *** or the *** *********** I have all calls recorded for reference.Business Response

******************************* talks down or very harsh and not helpful. You can tell she has worked this job too long where she has probably worked with some real intense people but to treat everyone like that is not customer service. When they quote you a price know that it is without taxes which in most cases is 100 plus. Had an appointment on Friday at 7 am which I was quoted for 3 hours. It only took them two and they wanted to diagnosed the stored faults and use the last hour that I was quoted. It is Monday 2 pm and nothing has been done. They are trying to figure out how to put my car back into production to get the tech on it. I dont understand how that works when I was quoted for three hours and let them keep it til Monday and they dont know what or how they were going to get the rest diagnosed. I was patient had questions and every answer has an attitude. Being in the military you learn how to have thick skin but her attitude and paying for them to tell you what you already knew makes no sense. Would not recommend this place to my enemies. She quoted me 490 never mentioned that was without taxes. We didnt use the last hour and it only took 90 dollars off when they charge more per hours. They told me exactly what I knew going into it I didnt want to waste more money because I did not feel like they care about me and the business I was bringing.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
I still dont understand why the extra hour couldnt be done on Friday which I was slotted for on Friday after they got permission. They contacted us and said the could get it done Monday. Around 2/2:30 (half of the day is gone and less than five hours to close) my father and I went to see what was going on with the car and their words were we are trying to get it back in production and dont know if we could get a technician on it today. Gossett could not promise us that our car would get seen today. Thats an inconvenience because people have to miss on work to go to dealerships to pick up cars and it takes two people. ****************** only seemed refer back to my father and what she said to him. I was the customer my father was assisting me. I could not figure out why she could not answer any of my question.I told my father to take my car to the dealership because they can be trusted even though you pay for their trust and to receive subpar service was not satisfying. My father, ************** and I, **************, I appreciate you wanting to earn my trust but I am weary to take my car to a place that could potentially make it worse or charge me any amount they like.
I wish Gossett the best in their future. Great customer service is far in between these days. However, when you find a place that shows their customer their time and money matters and we are not just another number they will drive far to support it.
