    September I contacted Midsouth Ponds and Christmas lighting to see if they could repair a pond in my backyard. I was told that repairs were not an option, and a completed new installation would be required. My wife and I after multiple discussion decided to make the investment and paid the deposit of 50% 9/9/2024.The pond installation was completed 11/1/2024 and I paid the final deposit the same date for a total of cost of $27,385.00. The pond leaked and it took 3 trips to repair the pond. The pond had to sit idle for several days to determine where the leak was coming from. During this time, the pump could not run and no chemicals for the auto dosage for chemicals to flow through the water. During this downtime, the rocks grew a brown film with black streaks that looked like bacteria.They had to completely reconfigure and add a new liner to repair the leak. I asked the person over the project about the brown film with black streaks and was told they would go away. They did not go away and turned into a full **** ***** during the winter. I have killed the bloom, but the pond looks awful. Midsouth Ponds has given me a quote for their maintenance program which the lowest price the silver package is over 3 thousand dollars.The pond was not in pristine condition upon receipt. The algae bloom resulted from a leak and the pump shut down, which occurred after installation. I have only had a functional pond for 3 months and that was over the winter.

    We appreciate the opportunity to address this concern directly with Mr. ****** When we originally spoke about the algae in his pond, we provided information for our year round maintenance plans. I was able to speak with Mr. ***** this weekend about other options that we offer including one time pond cleans. We were able to not only schedule the cleanout but also ways to improve the pond's ecosystem, including adding aquatic plants when they become available. Our goal is always to provide the best service to each customer. Mr. ***** is a valued customer and we look forward to continuing working with him and taking care of his pond needs.

    I was contacted by ******* with Midsouth Ponds and we have come to an agreement on cleaning the pond and additional work to add plants at a negotiated and acceptable price. I do not see an actual written reponse but I am happy with the speed of their response in reference to complaint ID ********, and I accept their proposed resolution.
