    My grandmother lived at Kirby Pines from 2012-2015. She has a wonderful 2 bedroom apartment. She eventually declined in health and needed to transition to medical. The staff was wonderful. She suffered from COPD and a very harsh fight against dementia. The staff in Job's way were caring and empathetic. They knew myself, my mother & both my aunts by name. We visited everyday. The nurses had our phone numbers and shared my grandmother's day with us regularly. I will never forget the day my grandmother passed. I was there in the room with her and my mother, sharing stories about her life with the nurse that was making her rounds. During the conversation, the nurse noticed my grandmother took her last breath and very calmly talked to my mother and I, allowing us to grieve and shared in our grief. She only left the room to notify the desk of my ****'s passing. Kirby Pines will always have a special place in my heart. My great-aunt has moved into Kirby Pines now and I feel comforted knowing that she and her husband are in the *************.
