    On July 14, 2023, I was contracted as Keynote Speaker for the **** 2023 Kings and Queens Conference to be held on July 20, 2023 in ***************. I was contracted through the organization via a third party consultant - *****************. It confirmed and agreed upon that my fee would be $3,000 payable via wire transfer on the same night of the event after completing my speech. The day before the event, however, I received a call from *** that there was a "mixup" and I would now need to wait ***** business days post event to receive funds. I said "fine" as I had made a commitment and did not want to let the kids down.Towards the end of August 2023, I emailed *** to check in and make sure everything is still on track for me to receive my funds within the noted timeframe to which she replied she's unable to give an exact date but ***** business days. I reached out again on on September 18, 2023 to follow up and see if everything is on track for me to receive my payment on September 22, 2023 as that would have been 45 business days from the event. It was then that *** explained that I needed to wait for her to receive a refund from the client (**** Kings and Queens/Leadership for Queens) and that it would take longer than 45 business days, citing that the client is having problems because of the strikes. I then pushed back asking if there's anything that can be done to get me my payment sooner as the payment date and terms have now changed 3 times and I was also never told I would have to wait for someone else to be reimbursed to receive my funds.It's been almost three months since the event took place and I've held up my end of the bargain and contract by delivering my speaking services. The client is refusing to pay me within the terms we agreed upon and I've been more than patient and understanding. They need to pay me ASAP.

    Leadership for Queens booked two speakers from ***************** Entertainment for our annual conference on July *****. 2023. We booked *************************** and *************************. It was our understanding that the fees listed below which were transferred to ***************** were to cover the $900 fee for ************************* and the $3000 fee for ***************************.
    The agency (***************** Entertainment) is responsible for paying ****************** and received the funds to do so:
    We also purchased two airline tickets for *************************, but he canceled the night before our event at the last minute; we did not receive a refund or replacement speaker.
    We are sorry that ****************** never got her payment for speaking on July 20, 2023, but we are not the responsible party and are saddened that she thinks we are. We paid the following to ***************** Entertainment and can provide proof from the bank that these payments were made.
