Indmar has already published the design flaw that caused these manifolds fail. Even if the manifold had not failed before the availability of the replumb kit; the design flaw has caused cracks to form that are now failing and thus making the engine (and boat) unusable.

This situation is similar to the other ETX Cat manifold complaint on July of 2021. My concern is the lack of transparency and urgency that I am facing. (And supposedly a large list of other back orders are facing as well.) I believe the intentional vagueness regarding my order is because orders are not being filled in the order they are received. My order was placed Oct 5, 2022 and I have no update regarding the status of my order other than a vague.

I also believe that Indmar is taking advantage of their customers in a situation that Indmar themselves had created. They are the sole part supplier for these manifolds and and are failing to provide them. For automobiles and trucks, parts are available from the manufacturer, OEM (in this case Indmar but analogously GM, Honda, Cummins, etc.) For cars and trucks, as a consumer you can buy parts from other suppliers or the OEM; there is competition. In this situation, Indmar has positioned themselves as the sole provider and are able to demand whatever.

I would like to firstly receive the manifold that I ordered. Falling short of that, I would like information on the situation.
    - When do you expect to fill this order?
If this can't be answered, then the following:
    - What place is my order in the backorder list?
    - When was the last time Indmar had these manifolds available?
    - How many orders were fulfilled by Indmar at that time?

I would also like restitution/compensation for lack of use my boat because this situation is directly caused by Indmar. And on top of that, Indmar is price gouging these manifolds because of the situation. It would be fair if Indmar provided these parts at the price before Indmar intentionally shrunk the supply so Indmar could price the these manifolds exorbitantly.

My complaint is about a boat engine manufacturer . Indmar Marine Engines. My boat alarm was going off took it to a MB boat dealer in ************* the sent all Diacom and running logs and data to Indmar to chase a problem with boat. Dealer was instructed by Indmar to replace an exhaust manifold on left side engine. The data downloaded showed misfiring in #,s 1,4,5,6,7 cylinders so both sides of V8 engine. Also 2 Oxygen Sensors both sides were found wet and needed replacing.Indmar sent warranty exhaust manifold to dealer ,dealer replaced . In meantime i had asked dealer to make sure the correct ECM map for Engine was installed.Dealer flashed ECM with map given by Indmar Marine. Boat gets finished dealer tell me to pickup. We pickup and take to *********** **. We also buy Fuel from the ******* in Havasu on ********* drive,We put boat in water alarm goes off instantly. We park boat call dealer he listens over phone and deems it will be ok to run it. We had rough engine running with alarm on until reset .we remove boat from water take back to dealer thay diagnose with instructions from Indmar, they do a compression check find # 6 cylinder no compression. Indmar tells dealer to remove engine from boat and ship to Indmar.Dealer ships to Indmar ********** to ******** by truck 10 days including inclement weather. Indmar inspects engine they say #6 valve has tuliped .1 week laterIndmar tells dealer they are sending away a fuel sample from fuel left in fuel rails. they get fuel back from independent fuel analysis ,report indicates that fuel had **** ppm ****% water in fuel.No proof of where fuel was taken , they report back denying warranty of engine because of water in fuel.My thing is it had same problems both visits to dealer Indmar experts tell dealers how to repair boats etc. **************** has not taken into consideration that water was involved the first repair visit. In the process of all this i have never been allowed to correspond with Indmar.i have data .
