had a appointment Friday at 1 pm to have a 4-wheel alignment and two tires mounted and balanced. I supplied the tires they were brand new and i also supplied the tpms sensors. i arrived at 1 pm and they took the keys after 1 and a half hours they said my car was done and i went to pay the 132.44 with my debit card however the card reader was not working properly so it took about 30 minutes to pay for the alignment and tire installation when i left the store i stopped to get a bite to eat when i realized they had charged me 2 times for the job so i went back and got one of the 132.44 refunded. Then i went home and decided to clean my car out when i opened the trunk i saw the two new tires and the tpms sensors they charged me to mount and balance. and they were still in my trunk. they still had the stickers on them. so i have to miss another day of work to get this done STAY AWAY FROM PORTER TIRE STORE

This would be at the Davy Crockett Pkwy location.
Let me start off saying the staff was very cordial and respectful. Not an issue from them in terms of person-to-person service. My issue stems from a consequence of their fixing the first issue which brought me there. Needed new control arms, I was there for a checkup to ascertain if it was exactly that. It was. However, they did, during this checkup, some maintenance work to my brakes. Service manager said they weren't greased, so one of the mechanics did so. Great, I suppose. Only now when I leave the store, there is a new, loud, and very pronounced scraping sound on my driver's side as I'm driving along which *was not* there before.
Call service manager and he assumes it may be something when they greased that brake. Perhaps something slipped. Okay, take him for his word. Return to have control arms installed and inquire to the new sound. Control arms went on fine. The scrape does not go away. Service manager has the team check the tires, brakes, all they could find. No clear causation in their eyes. They drive it around, try and get a hint of what's up. He offers that perhaps the issue is driver's side wheel bearing and they could replace it. Foolishly, I take up the offer out of a not small amount of worry and set up an appointment for replacement.
Another sizeable bill I can't quite afford, but I can't lose my car. Appointment comes, bearing changed...and no change in the scrape. Didn't fix a thing, though "it's quieter now" and a new bearing, I guess. This noise *did not* exist before I came to Parkway. I've gotten tires at Buffalo Trail for years, and didn't expect an apparently unexplainable new issue. I imagine the bearing probably didn't need changing and now have to take my car elsewhere to be assessed and figure out what, if anything, can be done about the mystery sound.
Supremely disappointing and a shot to the wallet.

Took another group 15 min to see the issue: they simply didn't clean the brake. Boom. No more noise. I feel conned because the wheel bearing was coined as a solution. A $350+ solution to a problem which stumped Porter's mechanics twice. Which they themselves let happen. I'm not sure how the simple step "maybe we should clean the brake" as part of that 'complimentary service' was skipped the first time.
Absolutely unacceptable. Will try for reimbursement, though I doubt it will occur. Cannot recommend Porter's at all and will be doing so from here on out.

I’ve been a loyal customer for two years and they’ve recently started charging a hidden fee. It was for $4.75. Check your invoices under “Supplies”. They could not explain what this fee was for when asked. This is because it’s a hidden fee to be able to say they still do oil changes for under $60. I was also told this fee was about to go up but the oil change price wouldn’t. This is a shady business tactic used to adjust for inflation without actually increasing the price of the service. Unless this is changed I will never visit another Porter’s location. Honestly, this is so distasteful it should be illegal. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Horrible experience! My mom and me just went here she had an appointment between 1-2 and we waited over an hour before her car was checked ! Then when I went up to check on it ,Nicole at the counter had an attitude and said "I told her that her appointment wasn't until 2" the dude finally came back and told my mom what was wrong with it . Then he said give him a min and hed give us a price well we waited for another 20 mins and then my mom went up there to get her keys and the dude still didn't have the price figured out I got the keys from her as she was talking and as I walked out the door she was waving her hands for me to leave !!! Then when I called to speak to a manager I got told he's in break this l l leave message

Myhusband and I took our car here to get it aligned. we dropped it off and finally got a call that we could pick it up 11 days later. they "removed and replaced" a control arm, a part that we had JUST replaced thats why we needed an alignment, our bill was ********  when we picked the car up we had to ask 2 or 3 different people for a piece to our car that was missing, and my husband had a very hard time getting it home without wrecking (its 5 miles). my husband had someone else look at the car because in about 20 miles it needed a new tire and they couldn't believe anyone would 1 leave the ENTIRE suspension loose underneath the car (which explains why he almost wrecked multiple times) and 2 why they bent the part we JUST REPLACED before taking it there. so now I'm out ******* to them + *** for a new tire (that had a new tire on it) + ANOTHER new control arm & labor and the labor to tighten the suspension back. my husband called and talked to someone and told him that we had taken the car somewhere and they told us how lucky we are that we didn't wreck and his response was "hmmm I don't know what's wrong with my alignment guy"
no I'm sorry or anything. we asked if they were going to refund us the money for the removal and replacement of the control arm and he said "well no"
I'm beyond furious about this. they took my money, and cost me at least ***** more, and could have caused someone to be seriously injured. this is not a good way to run a business. I will NEVER go back to them and will tell everyone to stay far away
