      I had been using Prentice A. about 4-5 years for service on my unit and sons units. On 9/27/21 I had them come out and check unit, it had quit running. This was on carrier brand and it was 13 yrs. old. They found 2 major problems and would cost $2000 to fix and they said they could install new Rheem unit for $5400. after a few minutes I agreed. I knew nothing about a *****, After a few questions they said it was a great unit with 10 yr. warranty on parts. I had to be in town but wife is there. When I got home all was done. Over the next 2 weeks I had them out about 4 times to explain a few things one was unit sound like it was surging and he explained it and that was my problem and I was ok with that. Once I went to their office and talked to the owner **** and told about my concerns and would send a tech out and check unit that was the 4th thermostat they put in and that is what they did every time they were there. MY COMPLANT is when weather is cold and thermostat is set at 72 before unit comes on the house gets a chill and then unit comes on and after 3-4 min. of running we all are very uncomfortable and finally cuts off. Then the cycle starts again. MY COMPLANT is when it is summer the thermostat is set at 72 and after we all get to warm it finally comes on and keeps running and then it gets too cold for everyone and finally shuts off. Then cycle starts again. None of these people tell me this is the way unit operates that unit does what thermostat tells it. 7 weeks ago I called office to talk to person over service he was to call me back, 3 weeks ago I called and **** said she was only person in office and he will call me back. NOT !!!I KNOW what units are supposed to do to keep house and you comfortable without any big temp. changes. I have 41 yrs. of central units all were Carrier Brand and they worked RIGHT!!! That was from **** to 2021.COLD OR HOT. Call it to be MISLEADING OR FLAT OUT LIED TO. I waited a year to give review and to report this to the BBB.
