I bought an engine last week for a 2017 ******* elantra. The fork lift driver ****** brought one engine to the truck it was locked up so he went and got another engine. A 2023 engine. He assured me it would work with the 2017 I left with the engine I called and spoke with ******* and asked her if they was sure the engine would work because it was for a 2023. She said yes it will. I returned all the way to ********* with it. Next day the mechanic said it will not fit it's to new. So I had to go all the way back down to ************ to swap out .. ****** said I was getting the right engine this second time..... Mechanic put it in the cam shaft was not the right one because they didn't give me the right engine. I go back again .... Swapped out engines again. Back to ********* to find pure rust and water in the the engine. I immediately called the salvage yard. I'm trying hard to speak to the owner no one will let me talk to him ... And By now the mechanic is already charging me every time he's putting an engine in and the engines are wrong. This is at no fault of mine that I keep getting the wrong engine and a bad engine. I asked for the company to pay for one of these labors at the advice of my mechanic which is ******* auto repair. I was rudely told I have 1 of two choices... Money back for the engine or swap it out. They have caused me to miss work and spend a lot in gas and time because of their lack of knowledge. I am asking they pay one of the cost of engine labor to ******. I don't think that's too much to ask when it's their mistake. Had the right one been pulled the 1st time I wouldn't be filing this complaint.

We truly apologize for your bad experience at our business, and having to swap out the engine multiple times is definitely at no convivence to you. Reading out through the notes of this complaint, this is why we provide the 30 day warranty to cover mechanical parts that fell through the cracks during our testing process, but we have clearly listed in our store's policy that labor is NOT covered, regardless of the times labor is paid. As the customer mentioned,

Again we apologize for your bad experience

    Thanks

It will not allow me to respond to the questions that I am asked with the lines.  I think it's wrong tho that that auto salvage isn't sending at least one of the payments towards the mechanic. It's none of our faults that they and their workers gave the wrong engine to me not once but 2 times. That's no way to run a business and expect it to just be ok .....

Around October 27 I purchased 3 parts from this salvage yard. They supposedly sold me parts for a 2019 ******* MKC. When I arrived home, I tried to match them to the vehicle but they did not fit. The front bumper does not match the vehicle and neither doe the rocker panels. Plus, the rocker panels both have damage. I called their agent back on the next business day and she apologized and said to bring them back or a full refund since they don't have the correct parts I need. On November 2nd, I was on my way to return the parts when my vehicle broke down on Highway 31. I had the vehicle brought back home and have not been able to re-start it since. This can be corroborated with my communication with my insurance company. I don't have another vehicle big enough to carry these parts to them. Today, November 6th, they informed me that I can no longer return the parts because their 7 day policy has run out. This policy was not mentioned before at all. I communicated to their agent that I am willing to work with them and exchange these parts for other parts for my car, but they simply "stated the policy". I have borrowed a vehicle from antoher person and have plans to drive there tomorrow (November 7th) as it is almost an hour away each way, but don't know what to expect. Please help me sort this out. I would understand their stance if this was just me not liking the parts or changing my mind, but they sold me the wrong product. Charging customers fraudulent transactions and then refusing to work with them seems to be illegal and unethical.

    Dear BBB Complaints Resolution team,

The customer contacted us and ordered a two rocker moldings and front bumper for the 2019 ******* MKC, and he came into the store and picked up the parts physically. He thoroughly inspected the parts before loading them into his and left our location. He contacted us via phone about a WEEK later stating that the parts he purchased and picked up from our location has more damage that he expected, even though he inspected the parts at the time of picking them up from our location. We informed him that we can exchange them for different ones due to being within a timely manner. The customer did not show up to exchange the parts or answer our follow up emails to complete the exchange we promised will do, then he contacted us 10 days after we spoke over the phone stating that his car broke down and was unable to complete the exchange at our store, we informed him that at this point it is past the warranty period since he never answered any of our calls of emails within a timely manner. We had good intentions of working with the customer trying to resolve the issue but the customer was not cooperating nor attempted any form of communication.

    Thanks
