On December 21, 2024, I endured a racist verbal attack by a nail tech at Nails So Happy on Franklin Road in ************, **. The nail tech needed help from the receptionist to articulate her points and understand mine. There was confusion on my nail design, so I asked them for something more simple that costed less. The nail tech still got it wrong, and I politely asked if we could use the right color, but I was met with hostility and aggression. The nail tech started yelling at me and slamming things. I kept my calm and explained there must have been a miscommunication, but she continued belittling me and humiliating me in front of the whole salon. She was yelling at me instead of taking her frustration out on the receptionist who miscommunicated. My mom had died a few days prior, which I communicated to them, telling them the salon visit was for peace. The nail tech was insensitive to this fact. I also noticed how gentle she was with customers who werent of color and how her tone was when speaking to me even prior to the verbal attack. I have tried calling the salon multiple times to speak to the owner, but he never answers me nor calls back. I simply want a refund for the traumatic experience, but the owner will not address the matter with me privately and amicably, yet gave a public response (which was condescending in nature) to my negative ****** review. I have not yet been able to communicate how I would prefer to resolve the matter with the owner directly because he wont speak to me. Even after a traumatic experience at Nails So Happy, I am still being treated like less. My ****** review was left after I attempted to reach out to the owner and was lied to by the receptionist claiming to be the owner herself to prevent me from properly addressing the matter.
