On April 26, 2024 a Bonded Filter Company Employee, Toney, was distracted (according to him) and ran a red light, in downtown Chattanooga, TN endangering the life of my son and other drivers behind him because he was distracted. My son approached and proceeded through the intersection under a green light. The Bonded Filter Company car plowed through their red light causing an accident with my son. My son called the Chattanooga police and then me. He spoke to Toney, from Bonded Filter Co., with me on the phone and asked him, “Would you agree that you ran a red light?”. Toney agreed that he was looking at his GPS while driving and ran the red light. The Chattanooga police officer that arrived was irritated that he was called out for a non-injury vehicular accident and just gave the two of them a form. The officer did not ask what happened, and left without writing a police report. My son and Toney traded insurance cards and left. Toney provided the wrong insurance company info., so we spent time working with their old provider and was finally told they no longer insured the Bonded Filter Co. I was able to contact the Bonded Filter Company and spoke with a manager in the Transportation Department, who said she would have their current agent call me. I called and left multiple messages over the next two weeks before Janai H*******, Gallagher B******, CA finally responded to me. At that time, she asked if we had a police report. Since we did not, she said that Toney now had a different story and did not agree that he ran a red light. I have not had any messages answered from Janai or the Bonded Filter Company, since June 5. They obviously plan to ignore us despite their employee breaking the law and running a red light, and causing damage in an incident that could have seriously injured my son. If they will ignore common decency and blatantly lie about a minor accident, can they be trusted for something more serious? Is their a moral or company culture issue here?
