I took two laptops (one work, one personal) in to be repaired at the same time. I had a back up computer for work, so there was no rush on getting the laptops fixed quickly, which I told him when I took them in. I dropped them off toward the end of July 2024 and spoke to the owner before going away for a week in mid-August about getting them back. He said at the time that he was working on them and they'd be ready in the next week. I was busy after vacation and again, not in a rush. I went down to pick up the computers weeks later only to find the business was closed and both my laptops were gone. A new business was in it's place and I was told by the leasing agent that the former tenant left suddenly taking everything with him. I don't know that I will ever see this computer again, but I would like to know what happened to it as it contained personal information. As I saw from another complaint on this site, another customer went to pick up her things at the end of August and he was gone at that time.

My spare laptop was taken to the store on ****************************************************** for repair on 5/13/24. ( I had taken it there on previous occasions for repair with good results.) The manager, ****, said he would fix it at no charge, but it may take awhile since the problem was sporadic. I phoned **** a couple of weeks later to see if he was having any success. He said that he had been working on it periodically, and reminded me that since he was working on it for no charge, it was not a priority. He made it clear that I did not need to contact him and that he would instead contact me once the repair was completed. I stopped by the store on 8/13/24 and found the store had been vacated. My concern is not that the repair had not been made, but someone has the hard drive which contains personal information. I NEED THAT LAPTOP RETURNED TO ME.
