This company wasn’t even moving us — they were moving our neighbor — yet somehow still managed to treat my wife with outright disrespect.
Their truck blocked our driveway. When my wife asked them to move it, they responded rudely but did so. When she returned, the truck was blocking our driveway again. This time, the man told her she’d “have to wait,” clearly irritated. She stood her ground, and they moved the truck — but again, with attitude.
As they were leaving, one of the movers made a completely unprofessional and offensive comment, saying the only reason our neighbor was probably moving was “because of her.” That kind of remark is beyond rude — it’s personal, unnecessary, and completely unacceptable behavior from someone representing a business.
When my wife called the company to report the incident, the response was just as disappointing: “Maybe he was having a bad day.” No apology. No concern. No accountability. Just a lazy excuse.
This reflects a deeper problem than just a bad employee — it’s a culture issue. Poor attitudes, lack of professionalism, and zero accountability start at the top. If management can brush off that kind of behavior with a shrug, it tells you everything you need to know about how this company is run.
We weren’t even the customer, and this is how we were treated. Imagine trusting them with your home and your belongings. Use this company at your own risk.True Friends Moving Company, LLC

Thank you for contacting us regarding your wife’s experience. We sincerely apologize for any discomfort or inconvenience this may have caused. Our records indicate that our Resolutions Manager spoke with y our wife on the day of the incident mentioned, 4/14/25 at 2:53 pm, for 14 minutes. During this conversation our Resolutions Manager apologized for the situation and for any inconvenience that may have been caused. We also confirmed the documentation of her concerns. These concerns have been escalated to our Human Resources department for appropriate review to be addressed accordingly. We understand that differing perspectives were expressed, and we want to assure you that we are taking this matter seriously.
Please note, after reviewing the details of your neighbor’s move, we understand that the customer’s driveway was too small for the truck to maneuver safely, which resulted in the truck needing to park on the street. We appreciate your feedback in helping us improve our service. If you have any additional concerns, please feel free to reach out, we are happy to assist you.

The company verbally quoted and explained the cost for our move from Tennessee to Alabama. Intially telling us that a flat rate for truck and mileage was $1190.00 and $199 per hours for two hour minimum to load and unload. The crew only used one hour to load and one hour to unload. Also, my husband paid as a deposit toward the total $199 that was not applied to the cost apparently. My complaint is that the is we did not use two hours allowed per loading and unloading, why were we charged for it. Our total came out to over$2K. I have filed a claim with the company. However, other than stating what the contract says they are not providing a clear breakdown of the cost and why we were still charged for two hours not used to loading and unloading.True Friends Moving Company, LLC

After reviewing your move, we see that our Resolutions Manager sent you an email and spoke with you on 10/31/24 to address the concerns you raised regarding the 2-hour minimum, and the $199 deposit paid for your move. We understand that clarity in billing is important, and we appreciate you allowing us the opportunity to provide more details on how your move was billed during the telephone conversation we had with you on 10/31/24.
During the telephone conversation with our Resolution Manager, the invoice was discussed and explained which reflects the $199 deposit referenced, was deducted before the completion of your final payment for your move. Upon discussion of the invoice, you confirmed that you understood the invoice now that it had been explained to you.
Regarding the 2-hour minimum for your move, the 2-hour minimum charge covers our team’s time and availability to handle your move. This means you will be charged 2 hour minimum regardless of how long it takes to complete your move. For example, if loading and unloading only take one hour each, the 2-hour minimum rate still applies. If your move goes over the 2-hour minimum quoted, your move is billed in 15-minute increments. This was also discussed during the telephone conversation with our Resolutions Manager on 10/31/24 for further clarification.
As stated, the 2-hour minimum was verbally quoted to you and documented on the estimate that was emailed to you on 10/24/24 before your scheduled move date. We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding the 2-hour minimum for your move, and we thank you for allowing us the opportunity to discuss this with you and clarify your concerns. DO NOT BOOK! Unless you want to pay double your estimate.
Facts:
- This company estimated 6-8 hours for a move of 3 bedroom home with 1 hour drive to storage.
- Husband and friend rented truck and moved 1/3 of our stuff to decrease movers time to save money and did this in 3.5 hours with a 30 minute drive.
- Company took 11.5 hours moving our stuff - at $199 per hour plus $199 “service charge”
- I contacted them to hopefully explain how this move shouldn’t have taken so long and why, and they offered $100 credit back but ONLY if I signed an agreement saying “By acceptance of the above settlement, I hereby voluntarily wish to withdraw from any open claims or complaints to any state, city, government, insurance, consumer public groups such as the BBB, media organization, internet website and/or credit card agency."
Do not fall for the lies - this is a scam. Go with a different company to save money and time.True Friends Moving Company, LLC

We regret to hear that you felt your move took longer than expected. We strive to provide a smooth and timely service, however, there are times when unforeseen circumstances can impact the overall time of the move. When Sales books a move, we don’t guarantee an estimated time or cost. We bill per hour and charge the customer for however long it takes to complete their move. Your move was booked for a full day of service. Sales “estimated” your move may take around 9 hours to complete. The hourly rate and service charge mentioned for your move are reflected on the estimate that was emailed to you on 6/18/24 at 10:38 am. Our system reflects this email was opened on 6/18/24 at 10:56 am which was 3 weeks before your scheduled move date. We apologize for any misunderstanding during the booking process.
After evaluating your move further, we show that our Resolutions Manager has been in contact with you since 7/12/24 addressing the concerns you have raised regarding the overall time of your move. While further reviewing your move, the crew moved a 3-bedroom home with 1 flight of stairs into a storage unit which also included 1 hour of drive time from the origin to the destination address. Our Dispatch Manager was also notified during the duration of your move that the location of the storage unit and where the truck had access to park, required a long walk. Moves with additional walking, elevators and stairs can experience delays depending on the obstacles that may occur while moving items. We truly apologize for any inconvenience that may have been caused.
After reviewing your communication with our Resolutions Department, you originally demanded a refund of 5 hours and 30 minutes from your recent move. Your recent demand was for a refund of 3 hours and 30 minutes. After careful consideration and a thorough review of the circumstances of your move and considering all factors of your move that can influence the duration of the moving process, we regret that we are not able to provide a refund for the demanded amount. Although we are not able to honor the amount requested, we have offered a resolution for any inconvenience you may have experienced to reflect our commitment to addressing your concerns and overall customer satisfaction. 5 starsI recently moved (1/5) from Nashville, TN to Mt. Pleasant, TN. Matt and Corey were my movers and they were absolutely wonderful. They called me when they were close, and moved with speed and efficiency, while making sure my belongings were safe and secured. I have never had a smoother moving experience! This was my first time hiring movers, and I will absolutely be using your services again! I just wanted to send a quick note and say thank you for taking some of the stress out of this process for me. Worth every penny!!

5 starsThis crew was the best group of people I have ever dealt with from beginning to end. The booking was fast and easy phone call. He explained price and what to expect then quoted price estimate. Then I had to reschedule my appointment. Again, an easy phone call. The day of move, the guys called in advance as advertised and on time. The crew was polite and friendly. They were so careful and contentious with our furniture and made good suggestions on items that needed to be moved but weren’t packed yet.
