Bought 8 years ago ON ******, used once a year on average, total time would be less than 10 hours in 8 years roughly estimated.
Got error code E4, found this video: *******************************************, many thanks to "Sewing Machine Tips and Tricks" for the video. Bought parts # ******, it is called pinion gear.
It took quite some efforts to take broken part out, and even MANY times more efforts to put the new PINION GEAR back in working order. If someone has the same problem and was unable to put new part back to work correctly, please let me know.
While waiting for the new part to arrive, I gave the broken part a closer look, and this is where I felt disgusted. Upon closer examination, there is a hole inside the gear; I would not be able to see this if it was not broken. It was there when the part was born, yes; the part was born with defect. It is an air bubble formed during the manufacturing process, negligence in the manufacture of the pinion gear. I couldn't think of other causes. The new part now uses a white instead of black plastic as you can see in the photo. Did you get a chance to research the difference between black and white plastic?
Emailed ******, they responded to my second email, they're good at blaming the local dealer selling me the part, no apology, out of warranty, offered nothing; further emails being ignored again. The local dealer IS GREAT by the way, great reviews on ****** maps.
Called their phone number days later, the lady tried to not help, but to blame.
All 3 reviews before mine is ONE star, guess I'm not alone.
