      I have belonged to ORNL CREDIT UNION for a few years now and though my wife is not currently a member they also know her. Some of them know her for years outside the Credit union. My complaint is this, they WITHOUT JUST CAUSE simply lied to me about a DURABLE POWER OF ATTORNEY, in particular an employee by the name of DIANE ****** who works at the Lafollette branch. She had me set in a chair and wait while she consulted with someone else to figure out a ******** reason to give me for not accepting the LEGAL AND DURABLE POA I had which was produced and signed by Y12 Federal Credit Union. This was an UNJUST ACT AND UNCALLED FOR. I was not trying to do anything but Add my Wife to my account and since she was at work I was going to use the POA to do so. This was an INSULT AND PUBLIC HUMILATION THAT WAS UNCALLED FOR. I was treated like a common criminal FOR NOT JUST REASON, and the BEST EXCUSE DIANE ****** COULD COME UP WITH WAS THAT THE NOTARY WHO SIGNED AND STAMPED THE DURABLE POA DIDN'T PUT WHAT DATE THEIR NOTARY EXPIRED,....WHICH BY LAW IS NOT A REQUIREMENT ON ANY POA.
      DIANE ****** AND WHOMEVER SHE CONSUlTED TO TREAT ME LIKE THIS IS A DISGRACE TO ORNL AND SHOULD BE TERMINATE FOR SUCH UNJUST ACTIONS AGAINST ORNL CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE DONE NO WRONG. And ALl FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS SHOULD BE REQUIRED BY LAW TO ACCEPT ANY AND ALL LEGAL DOCUMENTS PERIOD!!!!!!!

      I have been a member of the ORNL Credit Union for almost 30 years. Most of my experience with the credit union has been positive; however, they have also screwed me over a number of times over the years as they are doing now. In June 2022, I reported my card lost or stolen after my nutjob upstairs neighbor who has been cyber stalking me since last fall used my debit card to purchase a Netflix membership, which she was apparently able to watch using my internet. I reported the card lost or stolen and went to my branch for a new card and obtained an affidavit and a print-out of the charges, which I took to the Knoxville Police.

      The credit union is penalizing me for the fraudulent charges to my account by placing a HOLD on my card. When I called to ask a representative to remove it, I was told she can't remove the hold, but she will send an email to the department that can. My only other option is to go to my nearest branch and ask the manager to remove the hold.

      Twenty or even ten years ago, I wouldn't have minded, but now I am elderly and am disabled from injuries in a 2021 car accident, so just getting to my nearest branch in south Knoxville is a huge ordeal. A credit union is supposed to be a union made up of the members who have authority over the way their credit union is run, but they run it like a ******* gulag. I am just disgusted that I am going to have to find a ride to the branch to get this bogus hold removed so that my card will be usable.
