    The company has absolutely zero concern for safety. Our rafting trip was booked for 7/20 @ 11:00 while the area was experiencing heavy rain and constant lightning. The was also a flash flood warning for the Pidgeon Forge area. The entire Pidgeon River was running over its banks and flooding parking lots.
    They did not seemed concerned about it. I didn't think it was worth risking my family's safety for this. No refund was offered. I would not recommend these guys any less.

    Nantahala Outdoor Center's Pigeon River Outpost operates on the Pigeon River located in Hartford, TN. This location is approximately 35 miles (1 hour) from the area that was experiencing the flash flood warnings. While we were experiencing heavy rain, our Managers were hyper focused on the weather and guest safefy at our location on the Pigeon River and all of our trips ran on July 20 without incident. Our guides are professionally trained to manage any on-water situations as they occur. Our Central Reservations Office Manager spoke with this customer later in the day on July 20 (after this review was posted) and was able to resolve things with the him directly.
