    I had a metal roof installed by Tim Leeper Roofing about 9 years ago. There are sever defects in workmanship which has caused collateral damage to the rest of the house including destroying our gutters. The roof is under warranty(10 years labor and materials) and they promised to effect repairs on the roof and fix collateral damage by March 2022. They also sent out a gutter contractor to get our needs addressed about that. about 9 months ago *** Leeper stopped returning our calls and text messages. It appears that they do not intend to make good on their promises.

    Upon bringing this to our attention, we made a good faith effort to assess the issues.  We informed the ********** that the gutter damage was an act of God and not covered under warranty, but we still offered to repair them at a heavily discounted rate in good faith.  The ********** then wanted advice on whether or not any other issues with the property (which were scopes of work outside of our expertise) would be covered under an insurance claim, along with the gutter damage, so we referred them to a General Contractor.  During the meeting with the General Contractor, the ********** stated that they wanted to hold us responsible for issues that we had nothing to do with, and that they would hire an attorney if necessary.  Upon learning this, we decided that we should not have any further communication with the **********, other than communications between our attorney's. 

    There are no defects with the roof.  A general contractor performed an inspection and concluded that any water entry was from the windows that were installed improperly by another contractor.  The damage to the gutters is a result of snow and ice build up on the roof surface.  This is an act of God, which is never covered under any workmanship warranty.

    We need to inject a little honesty into the conversation. The silent treatment from Tim Leeper Roofing began immediately after they, Tim Leeper Roofing represented by *************************** at the time General Manager, and a Contractor *************************** selected by Tim Leeper Roofing came to our home for a full assessment of the damage. ***** emailed us an estimate for $300,000. This is the pivotal point where Tim Leeper Roofing ghosted us. No replies to texts. No returned calls for messages. After 6 months of this unprofessional behavior, my disabled wife *** left a message about retaining the services of counsel. We need the truth about the 6 months of ignoring your customers and letting the deadline for the promised repairs come and go. We would rather not get attorneys involved, so here is your chance to try to make this right.

    The facts from our perspective are as stated in our previous response.  You have not provided any proof of actual defects in our workmanship, and at no point have you shown any evidence of leaks from the roof we installed. We stand behind our work and do our best to provide excellent service to our customers. Unfortunately,  we do not see a reasonable solution through this platform.  Therefore, we feel it is best for all parties, that any further communication go through our attorneys.
