      Quest collision was hired to repair body damage on my car. The paint on the bumper started to peal off in 2 yrs. I’ve had 3 body shops confirm that it’s due to bad prep yet Quest refuses to fix the problem.

      This is in response to mr ****’s complaint against quest collision center in June 2020 we completed repairs to mr ****’s Toyota which he took delivery of and was pleased with repairs then in November 2022 he came back stating that paint was peeling from rear bumper which was part of the repair area  on the car upon inspection of area of complaint we noticed the vehicle had been damaged again since it left our shop in 2020 as our warranty states we warranty our paint work for lifetime of ownership for who we do repairs but not when additional damage has occurred we will do the repairs needed and repaint for a discount if they choose to

      I am rejecting this response because:

      The car has not been damaged again since the repair.  I had multiple professional shops confirm that the paint is pealing in a manner consistent with insufficient preparation before painting and even explain the difference in how the paint would crack and peal from damage versus insufficient preparation.  The pictures attached clearly show how the paint bubbled irregularly, there are no cracks in the paint as you would expect if the bumper had been pressed in or dented.  Furthermore, they weren’t  careful wiping the dirt off of the bumper during the inspection process and added hairline scratches over the bumper.  The response is not only unsatisfactory, it is untruthful.
