1 starFor future customers of this company, I feel like this review will be helpful. The concerns we are listing, were not bad enough for us to leave, but we do regret spending the money on this cabin.
1.) Safety: second flight of stairs leading to front door were inadequately constructed. The stair stringer was attached to the concrete foundation with only a few tapcon screws. Overtime, water will cause these fasteners to rust and potentially cause a very dangerous situation. Rear porch framing is inadequate. The main beam is over spanned and is a major liability if heavy snow or ice is present. There is high risk of the roof collapsing.
2.) Inconveniences: rear porch roof leaks badly. There is low water pressure. The WiFi does not work. The password would not allow connection. The guest bedroom mattress was so old, there were indentions in it. We did end up going to buy a bed topper and new sheets. The sheets and comforter were dirty and smelled horrible. The cabin was overall very dusty and felt unclean. There were no closets in any bedroom.
Positive comments: the kids loved the game table and the location was very convenient. There is a nice fenced in area for pets, and hot tub was clean.
In the end, if this were my cabin I was renting, I would want the safety of this cabin examined, and provide better sleeping qualities for my customers.Review fromRobyn P

Worst cabin experience ever. Hot tub never worked. 1 jet worked and they tell you it’s fixed. When you tell them that it was only 1 jet they say the “specialist” said it was all working and it turned into he said, she said calling me a liar. The place was dirty, dead and live bugs everywhere inside the cabin centipede looking things, smashed chocolate candy in the furniture and rugs, showers were filthy. The furniture super worn, you sunk if you sat on the couch, the recliners were broken. We complained they came back with our places are always clean. Nothing electronic including the lights, in the game room didn’t work but they finally fixed the lights on day 3 of 5 but the electronic games never worked. For our inconvenience I was told they would refund us $*** *** a night for the hot tub not working still have heard nothing more from them about this. These people have to be stopped and made to clean up their cabin it cost us so much money to stay here, money that we worked long and hard hours to make. It was all wasted on this place. So upset. Do maintenance on your hot tubs and for gods sake clean them.

FIRESIDE CHALETS - CABIN: THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED (stay 7/2-7/6/24)
Up to the point of checking in was great. Checked in-overnight-a noise kept happening over and over from somewhere in the cabin. Could not locate it. Sounded like pipes making a noise. Called the next day - response we will send maintenance. Did not show. Day 2 - overnight - all you hear all night long is the noise from the pipes or at this point maybe the fridge. Called maintenance over again. Showed up while we were gone - was there when we got back. Could not fix the issue - even after the person I spoke to on the phone 'promised' it would be resolved that day. Day 3 - July 4th. Repair folks are not responding to a 4th of July call at all. Response from Fireside Chalets - we can give you an *** inconvenient fee. I was sent a docusign that essentially stated I had to release them from liability and I couldn't post anything on social media, reviews, etc. I would rather pay another **** to say my peace. It was frustrating. It was supposed to be a relaxing weekend in the mountains - 30th wedding annivesary. Ended up with frustrations from noises on appliances and appliances not working. Dishwasher never worked - another Maintenace person(s) called while we were there on this issue. And all the while - the mouse under the sink the entire time was the least of our problems.
If you want the video of the insane noises from either appliances or pipes all day long for our stay - please let me know - * * * * * ** ************Fireside Chalets, LLC

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are so very sorry for any inconvenience you may have experienced over your stay. We did send maintenance companies out during your stay to try to find resolve your concerns and are so very sorry that the repair could not be made during your stay over the holiday. The repair needed an ordered part that has now been installed. We did offer a credit for the inconvenience of the noise from the control board of the dishwasher. The resolution form is to notify the company and guest that issues have been resolved. We are sorry for any inconvenience or frustration you had during your stay. My family and I stayed at “A Cabin of Dreams”. The cabin was beautiful and looked exactly like the pictures; however, the upstairs loft bedrooms had bugs in the beds. The cabin was reserved for 3 days, but we checked out after 2 days. Fireside was contacted about the issue but no one came to change the bedding until late into Day 2. Unfortunately changing the bedding did not get rid of the bugs. We were forced to double up in rooms and left the following morning. I asked for a refund and was told someone would get back with me. I never heard back from anyone which is very disappointing. If you want to have little black bugs crawling around in bed with you at night then pick this cabin. “A Cabin of Dreams”, was “A Cabin of Nightmares”. This was my first experience at staying at a cabin, and will be my last.Fireside Chalets, LLC

I stayed with Fireside for my birthday. The cabin was exactly as described. Our pool passes were missing, but they made sure to get them to us the next day. All in all a great rental experience. There was minor wear and tear on the cabin interior, as expected for a rental. No complaints from our group!Fireside Chalets, LLC

Just stayed in Secluded Summit. This cabin offers all of the amenities of home and more, the breath taking view ended our busy evenings with relaxation . We took in all that this cabin offered freshly decorated with a coal miners theme i.e gems and a wall mural of a coal mine to the custom built coal cart. We truly loved every minute in this cabin and CAN NOT wait to go back! A MUST SEE CABIN!
The staff offers true southern hospitality. If you are looking for those amazing restaurants with the custom food, or the southern brewed beer. These girls know where to go. They can give you the best shows and the best motorcycles rides in Eastern Tennessee.
I will not stay with another company BEST Cabin and BEST Service! Cannot Wait for my next trip.Fireside Chalets, LLC

I have stayed with Fireside Chalets multiple times, all in different cabins, and have had the best experience every time. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend staying with them if you are coming to the Smoky Mountains.Fireside Chalets, LLC

1 starCabin Bear Run number 71 has roaches. Have photo of roach in bathroom. Sent photo and email with no response. Followed up with a call and only thing was said that they apologize and they have people who come and spray but, all the rain had caused them. First and last time booking with fireside chalet. Disgusting and it would have realized the cabin had roaches sooner no way would I have brought my stuff inside or layed down and sleep there. Do better fireside!!!
