      Contacted ******* ****** at Sunshine Septic Cleaning May 13th to inquire about cleaning out my tank so I can repair the lead pipe that had broken off the side. He came out and pumped the liquid at the bottom of the tank out. I asked him about the layer at the top of the tank and he said to put 2 cans of foaming root killer in the tank and it "might save the tank". I asked if I could add too much to it, and he said no. I paid Mr. ****** 540 dollars because he didn't have change for the original price of 525. I purchased 6 bottles of it and added it to the tank and closed it back up. 1 week later I opened it to see the progress of the root killer and it had 0 effect on the layer. I called another company at this time and asked for him to pump it out again as I still needed it empty to replace the pipe going into the tank itself. He came out and I explained to him that I need the tank empty to the point where I can remove the down pipe and repair the piping. The second business said "don't worry about that, when I'm done with this tank you will be able to eat out of it!" I explained that the layer would be left over. He said it wouldn't be, as I paid to have the tank empty, that's what I will be when he gets done with it. He proceeded to empty the water, back flow over the layer, empty it again, and backflow on the layer a second time. After this last pump out, you could see the entire floor of the tank. I asked him if this is common, and he looked confused. I explained that I had another business here just a week before and this is what I was left with. He respectfully asked who the business was and then told me that *** ****** shouldn't have charged me if he didn't clean the tank. After further conversation with the second un-named business I realized that I had seemingly been scammed. If he didn't feel comfortable cleaning the entire tank out, he should have told me and left.
