Since March 14, 2024, we have made multiple phone calls and sent text messages requesting that **** inspect and correct work that he was paid in full to complete. This home was to be built as ADA accessible, but several critical construction issues remain unresolved, including: Structural & Framing Issues: Blocking in floor trusses was not completed. Engineered truss requirements per ********* drawings were not met. Floor joists over the outdoor patio were notched 4 inches, reducing a 12-inch board to an 8-inch board and weakening its structural integrity. Load-bearing walls are misaligned, failing to provide proper support. Fascia boards were cut too long, hanging below the intended attachment point. Incorrect tape was used on basement windows, causing leaks. All exterior doors need to be rehung properly. The door from the sunroom to the deck has a stacked 2x6 header that is staggered and structurally unsound. Flooring & Stairs: Floor decking is loose, warped, and was not glued or screwed down properly. The top plate over the entry door has a 4-foot gap, with only a strap spanning the gap. Straps are missing on the top plate. Structural collar joists in the vaulted ceiling are too short. Fire blocking in the bonus room has not been installed. Bonus room stair stringers were overcut, weakening them. The main stairs had to be rebuilt due to improper installation. Exterior & Zip Board Issues: Multiple holes in the Zip board. Zip board was improperly installed in several areas. Zip board tape was applied incorrectly. Point loads are not continuous to the basement. Nails that missed the bottom plate are protruding through the floor. March 14, 2024, we verbally requested that you complete these corrections. **** stated that he would come out to inspect the work. On March 26, 2024, **** told us that he did not work for us and would not return to complete the work, despite having been paid in full
