Feb 2022; my vintage car was transferred to Long Restoration (****) by **** ***** for complete restoration. The rebuilt engine was left in Indiana. July 2022, ****”disappeared”. Same month my engine was crated and delivered to ****. September 2023, the car was complete and engine reinstalled. **** decided parts of the engine needed to be repainted do to the paint colors not matching. After reassembly the engine didn’t run correctly and had a bad oil leak. **** replace the new carburetor; plug wires (with used wires) and ignition switch and tried to fix the oil leak. 11/21/23 *** delivered my car. It was missing out and backfired as soon as it was unloaded. After that the engine would t turn over. Car went back to TN. Replaced ignition switch again (with a used one) and still trying to fix oil leak. Car deliver 12/19/23. Ran long enough to unload it and pull in my drive. Shortly after I tried to drive it. Got 1/4. Lie from home and it died. No emergency flashers and the engine wouldn’t turn over. ***** ****** towed the car to the present shop. They found so many thing done incorrectly on the car. 12/29/23 list was sent to ****. The wiring had been done incorrectly. Relay switch had a hole burned in it. Hot wires laying on metal causing ignition switch to short out. Throttle linkage bent. The oil leak was from a hole in the engine case.
I would like to be refunded for the money I have had to pay to have their many mistakes corrected and parts that have had to be replaced.
