We spent $7500 on a 3’x3’ shower remodel that was not done correctly and had to be redone by another contractor. The remodel price for a small shower was high but we wanted quality work and were willing to spend it. However, the first issue we encountered with Escobar was not having the correct shower door and having that shower door installed improperly. They were able to come back and fix the shower door issue to a state where we agreed on.

Next, we experienced multiple issues with leaks from this newly remodeled shower through the flooring and into the downstairs bathroom. Over the last 3 months, we have spent nearly $2,000 in multiple plumbers to come out to patch leaks and troubleshoot where the leak is coming from. The leak still persisted as the patch jobs were not successful. When we reached out, Escobar told us that they refused to come out and do anything more because they determined that this was a plumbing issue and had nothing to do with their work. After that they have ignored our calls. We have documentation proving that it was a failed shower pan, video proving that when they came to “redo the pan” they did not do what they said, photos from multiple contractors and plumbers stating that their work was done incorrectly, and receipts for everything that needed to be done after their work.

We finally decided to spend another $3,000 on another contractor to come out to redo the shower pan entirely. During this second redo, we found out that not only was the pan an issue, but there was also no waterproofing behind all of the shower walls and needed to redo the entire shower.

We would like to pursue the entire $7500 spent on the shower from them.

    1. This shower was water proofed and had a perfectly good drain installed. And was tested before we left. The homeowner was told not to turn on the water before we returned and did not follow instructions.

    2. I would like to see videos in the bathroom because thats a violation of privacy, however I do have proof that we fixed everything we said we were going to and our company only stopped responding after the homeowners asked multiple times for us to fix a leak that was coming from pipes he had used caulk on instead of PVC glue. The homeowner was working on the plumbing themselves when we came to install the shower. The door that we bought as we purchased all the materials was the correct door for the shower and space provided. If a homeowner wants a specific tile, shower door, etc. We strongly urge them to purchase materials themselves.

    3. As owner of the company, I am refusing a refund. Due to being slandered in various online groups, and failure to follow directions given by my installers.
