    On 7/18/24 we attended a meeting at a restaurant regarding dumping your time share. We were given scare tactics, which I later found out was a lie. They said when we die the timeshare fees would go to our family which is not true. We were not allowed to leave and do research and get back to them with an answer. When we were being coerced to sign up with them I told the lady, Shannon, "how do I know your not a scam" and she got angry. I should've known then they were a scam. For $6472 all they have done is give me a letter format otherwise I have done all the communication and work. No one can explain what the money we paid is for. We are getting nothing from them. They had us do POA paperwork which I have no i I call and email and they say someone will call back and no one ever does. Switch it who is affiliated with Last Resort has a Joelle, who always says" I don't handle issues of Last Resort. I want a refund of my money and for the stress and anxiety they have caused me. Also other potential people looking to get rid of theiir timeshares need to stay clear of this company.

    On Thursday, 10-17-2024, I attended a timeshare cancellation presentation. After the presentation, I became anxious and stressed out while attempting to find my timeshare ownership documents but need to contact the resort for guidance. I realized I was overwhelmed had signed under duress and I wouldn't be able to meet the representative's 30 deadline to secure and return requested information. Since I didn't get a Welcome call within 24-48 hours, I decided to cancel by mailing a Certified Letter to Last Resort Consulting LLC and Switch It Title Exchange (certified mailing was retuned - vacant address). On 11/05/2024 I informed ****** ***** of my cancellation. She stated she had to talk to management. I waited two weeks (11/19/2024). I found a 10/25/2024 voicemail from ***** acknowledging receipt and acceptance of cancellation. To date, I have not received a response. I called the office and left message everyday from 11/19/2024 - 11/22/2024. The company is ignoring my calls. Their actions so not reflect the BBB Standards nor the character and integrity they say exists in their company as indicated by their 2022 website Home Page Post. "... a commitment to fair, honest and genuine practices. .....transparent and customer-focused approach....." I timely cancelled my contract within 3 business days under the FTC rules which they claim to follow. Even though they neglected to inform me that Saturday is a business day. Looking back, I was offended by unprofessional behavior by ***** but maybe the good cop, bad cop approach to sales is the LR team strategy. Does Mr. T**** ***** Owner and **** *******, Business Manager condone the tactics? This is not how a reputable company conducts business. Research indicates this industry use a standard pricing model which is a transparent fee structure not upfront fees that start high and reduce to a lower amount. The only basis for settlement is for LR/Switch It Title Exchange to refund all of my money via Cashier's Check.

    This contract and agreement is not with our company. We do not handle cancellations for the referral companies who use our services. The client must contact that company directly.

    On Wednesday 6/26 my husband and I attended a presentation and signed a contract to get out of a time-share. The contact stated we have 3 business days to cancel, we contacted the company stating we want to cancel 6/28, which was the 2nd business day, LRC gave 2 addresses to send the cancellation letter. The cancellation letters was sent on the 3rd business day and post marked in 7/1. The contract we signed stated The Buyer May cancel the transaction at anytime prior to midnight on the 3rd business day after the signed date. We received a call from LRC requesting documentation to start the case, I informed the person that we canceled and sent the letter postmarked 7/@2:58pm. We also emailed them a copy of tracking number. We have made every attempt to resolve this matter. On 8/7 LRC stated the 3rd business day was Saturday and there’s nothing they can do. I am needing assistance with them canceling this contract.

    Hello!

    We have been in touch with this client several times, and are trying to reach an agreement. 

    They DID NOT however cancel within the 3 day window laid out by the FTC. Our contract mirrors the FTC rules for contract cancellation. 

    Also, they paid through a third party finance company who also has the same cancellation policy. They did not cancel within that timeframe with them either. 

    We have offered discounts, a hold on the process, both, etc. 

    We will continue to try to reach an agreement with them.

    According to our records, the letter was postmarked outside of the 3 day window. The client has argued that Saturday is not a business day, but according to the FTC rules, it is. We simply go by the FTC guidelines and honor any requests that meet those. The attached signed contract shows the client agreed to these cancellation policies. Says must be a letter delivered to the PO Box in Seymour postmarked by the end of the third day. With that being said we have been in touch with them and have offered what we can. This included a reduction in their loan with UCFS. Also, UCFS did not receive a cxl letter from the client to cxl the loan within 3 business days either.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    Saturday is not a business day and both parties were sent a letter to cancel.

    Again, the only option here is to cancel as the financial services person stated Saturday is not a business day and stated the LRC has the authority to honor the cancellation.and also requested emailed them a copy of the certified mailing with post date.

    At this time we are not responsible for this contract as it was canceled within the 3 business days noted on the contract and Saturday is not considered a business day.,
