    Just a warning for others about Joel’s Tire and brake. I took my van in to be repaired… they looked at it, called me, quoted me $400. I said ’okay’. the next day, it was miraculously $750 and I couldn’t have my van back until we paid. We drove my van away and TEN miles later, the problem persisted. I called and they said ‘bring it back, we need to look at it’. So we dropped it back off. THREE days goes by. The only mode of transportation I have for me and my kids. I finally decide to call them. They tell me that it’s my timing chain. Okay, but you originally told me it was my battery and my harmonic balancer. I’ve already paid you for those things and my van is still broken. They said ‘well, this is a timing chain issue and we don’t work on chains. Sorry.’. Fast forward to now… I’ve had several people work on my van. There’s no timing chain. It’s a timing belt. ?? The year of my van has a belt and I remember saying that to them a few times but he INSISTED there was a chain. Now we know for a fact there isn’t and we were ripped off for over $700. When I had the van looked at again, they found that my van engine wasn’t even screwed back together. The front bumper was still detached. It’s amazing I even made it home. So buyer beware. It personally pisses me off that a company will take advantage of a woman, a mother, with no other mode of transportation for her kids, for some money. Anyways, just be careful and make sure you get a second opinion.
