I was referred to this company when i had a gas service to my house last fall, and i contacted them to run a 2 foot line of service from the newly installed gas meter to my range which was about 2 feet of pipe used TOTAL.
I was told there would be a $150 service fee,, plus a $125 permit fee plus $15 per foot of pipe to install gas to my range. The technicians arrived,, took about 30 minutes to install the line and left. I then got a bill from gas appliances for $775!! my math has a DIFFERENT amount of $305 NOT $775!! I called gas appliances and told them they overcharged me and that i wanted a detailed bill for services rendered. As of this date march 10,2023 i STILL have not gotten an itemized bill for this service BUT i am STILL getting bills for $775! I spoke with some woman at this company who told me that was the price and when I asked for a detailed bill, she wrote something down on a piece of paper and texted it to me, but it was STILL just a total bill NOT a detailed bill!! I think this company is trying to overcharge me by WELL over double what the bill SHOULD be and i am refusing to pay them ANYTHING until i get a CORRECT BILL in detail showing what was done and the breakdown of ALL charges. I hope they take me to small claims court as i NEVER agreed to pay this amount and if they keep calling me demanding the incorrect bill, i will have to persue charges against them myself. Ive contacted another plumber in the area who does this same service and when i told him what was done and how many feet of pipe was run, he said $15 a foot is the STANDARD price for such a small job.. I think this woman who works at this company wants to pay the company the correct amount and steal the rest for her personal use as she said they wont take credit cards, but wants me to send them a check. Hopefully this letter will find its way the owner of the company and sees what his employees are trying to do. Ive also contacted *********** *** as well and reported this as well

I have attempted to contact the consumer by telephone. I have left messages to discuss settling this situation.  There was a mistake originally due to how the ticket was turned in.  I did issue a credit in January which brought the total owed down to $500.  If he would call me back, I will be happy to take a payment for whatever the amount he owes. I would like to settle this situation, but he needs to call me.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

i asked this company for a DETAILED explanation on the billing on this job,, by their own admission, what i owe them is,, $150 for a service call,  $120 for a permit pulling, and $15 a foot to install gas line which they ran a max of 2 feet TOTAL to the gas range,, so I add that up and what i actually owe this company is $305 TOTAL not $500 and not $750 that KEEP billing me for,, if they are ready to accept what i added up as the REAL bill, ill be happy to pay that immediately,, but until they get their billing corrected ill wait for them to realize just how little work they did at my house

    Sincerely,

I've reached out to this consumer several times. I've left messages a couple times a week letting him know that I'm willing to accept whatever it is he thinks he owes us just to get this settled. I wrote him a bill for $305. I still have had no response from him. I told him we do take credit cards but we charge a 3% service charge for credit cards. He can also send a check.
