Cumberland Metal Buildings screwed me. They were to pour a concrete floor and footers together for my building to sit on, but they filled the footer ditches with dirt that had a lot of sand mixed in from my property. The slab and ditches were inspected but before the concrete came the ditches were filled and the concrete poured. The slab began to sink and still is.Because of the building having no footers the Building Inspector had no choice but to pull the permit, making the commercial building that was to be an auto shop worthless. No permit finialed means no shop to work out of, making this an expensive barn. So many people do not know what they are getting with this company and looks do not make a building right. Wolves in sheep's clothing is what they are for being nice and giving a good line does not make things right either. Come to see this building before you buy from them. Only three miles from Cumberland at: ********************** before you have problems, they want you to fix not them.  Cell:************** after 6pm to make an appointment and let me show you what needs done to fix at a cost of $50,000 dollars., more than I gave for the building. They are Blaming the inspector for this problem to cover what they did, an act of fraud that carries a 3 to 15 year sentence in the state of *********. Information...

ed as a working garage for automobile repair. Without a final inspection approval I cannot get insurance or use the building as a working garage. Without the footer the building is not only sinking it is slowly pulling itself apart. To fix the building is almost impossible without spending more money than it is worth. Even though they did not pour the footers they charged me as though they did, about ten thousand dollars for nothing. To me this is nothing less than a type of fraud. On top of that, I wrote a bad report about Cumberland on their website. They took off what was written but left my name and replaced it with a 4.5 for a rating. I have been building houses in this area, doing 90 percent of my own work and have received nothing but good reviews from real estate and other contractors. To me this is a type of fraud too, using my name to promote their terrible work is not right. When all of this came to a head, finding out there were no footers under the building more bad news came. Cumberland had no licenses and no insurance. In ********* a contractor must be licensed to write a contract over $25,000.00 dollars, something I knew and never thought to check them out. To me, this is another type of fraud; a fraud that has the property shut down with $180,000.00 dollars of my own money invested. ******************************** has said they cannot help me with this problem and they can do nothing with Cumberland Metal Buildings. Was told I needed to get a lawyer and **** After talking to 15 lawyers none will touch this mess, telling me it should be the Building Department doing something first. Talked to the head of the State Building Department which turns out to be the State Fire Marshal but got no help. A fire marshal is chief of the building department too, makes no sense? Someone needs to make Tennessee get their act together. I have talked to others who have had problems with these people and they have hit the same type of wall as I have. If you cannot help please tell me who to talk to and I will. Thank You, ***** ******

Wish I could understand how any business that does not have a contractor's license can legally sign a contract worth more than $25,000.00 dollars, not carry a real insurance policy and still be in  business. If I would do something like this I know the trouble that would soon follow. Have had some people say that certain religions forbid a license and insurance and if this is true I got a real question that turns that theory on it's head. How does that same religion drive a car or truck without a licenses and insurance? I would bet they do have both and if so that religious reason does not carry any weight. Things do not add up with this whole matter of religion and at the same time go against their own religion and church doctrine by s******* someone out of their hard earned money. This is nothing but a bunch of people with a head with two faces, one face too many. This is 2025 and a time when the world is full of computers and so much more new to come. Does that mean the normal people must follow the new and a religion can sit on the side. The State of Tennessee needs to get up to speed and change the thinking as to why some people do not follow the rules the rest of us must. This religion thing has gone too far, too far as any religion not needing to follow the rules that all of us other people who go to church have got follow or face the reality of a court room, paying a big fine or maybe jail. Something is wrong with this mess... We are not living back in 1865 and because of this fact someone needs to explain why a certain religion has no real rules to follow that have some teeth and stop this senselessness.
