    I requested a copy of my medical records from ******** *****, MD, **********************, *********************************************************************, ********* via certified mail on November 5, 2024. The request for my medical records has been ignored. The certified mail was returned on November 25, 2024. Med Works of Tullahoma was the occupational health provider for my former employer, ****************************.

    We never received the certified letter that the patient is describing in his complaint.  ********** hours are now limited to 2 days per week, and maybe that was the issue with our clinic not receiving this correspondence and it being returned to the sender. Mr. ***** called us last year prior to *** (his employer) ending their contract, and he was advised to contact *** for his employee medical surveillance records to avoid paying the printing fees. He made no other efforts to contact us regarding his decision whether to obtain records directly from us and not his employer until we received the BBB notification. After receiving this notification, we called the patient, and told him that we can copy the records for him and gave him the pricing for printing copies of the records based on the Tennessee Code Annotated. But he wants to avoid paying for printing the records. So, we again suggested he reach out to the HR department of his former employer (***) to obtain the records directly from them to avoid paying the printing costs.

    We have offered the patient access to the patient portal as well as put him in contact with his employer to get the records free of charge. He can also pay to have the records printed according to the Tennessee Code Annotated. The patient has these 3 options. It is his decision which route he wishes to select. There is nothing further we can do other than print them if he agrees to pay the fees. And he has declined to pay the fees at this time. I am not sure what more we can offer the patient.
