Can’t believe they are still in business! - I didn't want to believe the negative reviews, but they were mostly accurate. A simple carburetor replacement turned into a very unpleasant encounter with an employee named James with the emotional intelligence of a caveman. I was clearly told what the original timeline and cost for fixing was and that was agreed upon. I even told them I understand supply chain delays and he said not for my mower, no problem. 2 weeks later (I was quoted one week) I went to pick it up and the repair cost was nearly double - $247 instead of the agreed upon $138 - for a replacement carburetor and install. I was not about to be gouged on this bait and switch, so I asked why the increase and James lost his mind on me. He started sputtering out a bunch of nonsense about supply chain and people trying to rip him off. Told me the only way my mower is leaving his shop is if I pay it in full. That If I don't he can seize my property ($700 mower) and sell it for his profit. I wasn't letting that happen. I went ahead and paid the 'ransom' for my mower and took it home. It didn't even start. Can you believe it!!! These slimeballs didn't even replace the carburetor and gaskets. I had my suspicions and took a look inside. They 'cleaned' the bad carburetor and re-used the original gaskets. I have already contacted my bank who is in the process of reversing the charge as fraud. This small business not only lost the money they stole from me today, they lost a customer for life, and the potential customers of the 100 homes I represent, who all have lawn equipment. **** Consumer beware!! I would consider using a different shop for your small engine repairs.
