Spouse recently got cancer and was very sick and in turn very limited in work ability. Made an agreement with the carlot that we would make payments around the 20th every month, and they never had an issue with such since only after the 20th was a late penalty due. I've paid any and every cent worth of late penalties if I've ever been late passed the 20th. Never an issue. All reciepts for the last year or more show around the 20th. Needles to say I wanted to find some 1 to take over payments and get out of our name (refinance, bank purchase etc) I bought the truck for around $23k added up. So was willing to sell it for a really great amount that any bank would appreciate so we could get it paid off and title switched... but some kind of down payment was wanted back into my hands for money put into it. Needles to say the carlot saw the ad and merely ASSUMED different intentions and said I can't sell a vehicle financed. Of course you can! It's no different than having equity in a home. You pay off in the sell process, typically the bank does this for you. So they repo the vehicle around the 21st after sending a letter on the 19th in writing saying we had until the 24th to fix issues on the account. I put big time money into this truck and I simply see this as an attempt for this small company to put a beast back on their lot.... ripping up a family with three kids needs knowing cancer has been a huge issue this year. Heartless crooks. You can't repo assuming intentions on a very vague post and especially can't when you give until the 24th in writing to fix issues on a letter sent the 19th and they repo the 21st..... stay away from this very small car lot. They are obviously very hungry for better inventory. I also asked for documentation on account and the manger is stalling and won't send anything when requested. Spouse works in the news industry and will be documenting this with news director and news investigators so these crooks don't rip anyone else off

I recently purchased a car from South Plains Auto Ranch a few months ago in *********, **. The day I purchased the car I was told I had to have a ********************** to not making enough money monthly. I called my mom ************************* from ******, Tx and she talked to the salesman and gave him her information to start the process. Once that was done I was able to get my car that I put $1500 down for. My payments are due on the 25th of every month and I get paid twice a month on the 10th and 25th of each month. On 12-25-23 my account was hacked and money was taken from me so I made half a payment on 1-10-24 of $185 and was going to pay the remainder balance of 200 after getting released from the hospital. Someone from the dealership on 1-15-24 started texting me about the remaining balance of 200 and I told them once I get out the hospital I will make that payment since I wasnt a month behind. The next day on 1-16-24 my car was picked up and I asked why and the person texting stated that I needed to make that payment plus a repo fee before I can get my car. So I told him I couldnt do anything until I got out the hospital. He stated that if I wanted my car back I had 21 days to get it and if not I would have to sign a paper so that they wouldnt put it on my credit report or if I didnt do that they will come after me for the remaining balance of the vehicle. I dont feel like thats fair since I wasnt a month behind and already paid half of the payment and could of paid the rest once I got out the hospital. Then I asked him why he didnt try to collect the money from my co-signer and he stated I didnt have one on my account. I called my mom and the dealer on three way to verify that she did give her information to someone to co-sign for me and the man got mad saying no she isnt. So my mom asked why did they take her information and what did they do with it. He said they didnt abuse she wasnt and he wasnt even the one sold me the car. He said I could get my insurance Friday 1-19-24 but still took my car for 200 even tho a half payment was made so now Im out of money and a car.

Customer was in default of their finance contract, which resulted in a repossession. Customer was 20 something days past due and did not have insurance. We found out that she called and cancelled the insurance days after purchasing the car. Multiple attempts were made to get payment, in which she missed multiple promise to pay dates. ******** stated she was in hospital, and we told her we would give her a couple days to get insurance, but her car could not be driven without insurance. We looked at her GPS location and noticed that the car was being driven, without insurance. A repossession was ordered and the vehicle was picked up. She has 21 days to redeem and 30 days to get any personal items out of the vehicle, from the date of repossession.

I am rejecting this response because:  I rejected this response since none of it is true. I sent all the information from me being in the hospital and how long Ive been dealing with this situation with my leg. I never canceled my insurance two days after I purchased since I had just paid almost $400 for the insurance that would of been stupid to do so. My insurance was discontinued from failure to pay since I was dealing with my infection in my leg. It had been discontinued for a few weeks until I could get back working fully. The only reason I stated that he was lying about the insurance is because he stated they were going to repo my car for not having any insurance after a day and I was stated it had been a few weeks so they should of picked it up weeks ago even though the payment was current. After I was admitted in the hospital on 1/15/24 was when he text asking for the remaining balance of the car payment which was $220. Thats when I let him know I was in the hospital since I had just got admitted and once I got out I will make that 220 payment which wasnt even a month behind and a half payment was already made of $185 until I was able to get the rest of the payment. The reason my car was moved while I was in the hospital is because my car was on one side of the hospital and I was placed on the opposite side. I had my sister ******************* which is in their paperwork as a reference to pick my car up and park it at her residence until I was discharged from the hospital. They didnt want me driving after I was released so why would my car just sit on the opposite side of the hospital in a parking lot. Thats the only reason they claim to have seen my car moving on the *** and thats where they picked it up from the next morning on 1-16-24. Nobody drove my car after being parked since my sister has her own car to drive. The attempts they spoke of was answered back to them thats how I was able to make half of the payment and to make the rest later and thats why Im confused on why they picked my car up after a half payment was made and my car note wasnt a month behind. I wasnt discharged until 1-23-24 I couldnt upload it since the file is to large.
