      In June of 2024 I signed my daughter to for swim workouts with the YMCA. The classes were advertised as being $300; Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for 8 weeks. When I filled out the paperwork to sign her up, they told me the advertisement was a mistake, and it was only Monday/Wednesday. My daughter wanted to take the classes so we moved forward. The YMCA pool was shut down for health code violations the second week of July. At this point we had completed less then half of the classes. I had called every Monday & Wednesday to check the status of the pool. Every person I spoke with told me the coach would reach out. I never heard from the coach. The first week of August I called to check the status of the pool, was told that classes resumed at different days/ times. I informed them the new day/ time did not work with my schedule and requested a refund for the rest of the classes. I was offered 1 teen membership for the month of September and I informed them that, that wasn't an option for our family and again requested a refund. August 14th I received a call again offering the 1 month membership, I denied it and she offered a refund. She told me since I paid with cash, they would have a check ready at the front desk. August 16th I called to check the status of the check and asked if I could pick it up that afternoon. She told me the check was mailed, and it was sent to the wrong address. August 22nd I was told I would need to wait for the check to return to the YMCA before they could mail a new one to the correct address, and they could not give me a time-line for it.

      We have voided first check and cut a second check. It is a partial refund based on days missed due to pool closure. Check is available for pickup at the Front Desk of the YMCA.
