      In September 2024, I applied for an apartment at The *******************. During the online application process, I paid a total of $550, which included a non-refundable $50 application fee and a refundable amenities deposit of $500. On September 28, 2024, I received an email from Lyon ********* informing me that my application was not approved. He advised that I would receive a refund of the $500 via a check in the mail.I informed **** that I was no longer residing at the address on my application. **** acknowledged this and requested my updated address, which I provided on September 30. On October 1, I emailed Lyon to inquire when I could expect my refund check to be mailed. Unfortunately, I did not receive a response.Since then, I have sent emails on November 8, 2024, November 18, 2024, and November 25, 2024. I also included their management company, Greystar, in my emails. The management company's website provides the email address ***************** However, I received only an automated response indicating that I should contact the property manager, along with a survey asking if the support received was *************** my email on November 18, 2024, I copied the property manager at ********************************* Once again, I received no response. On November 25, 2024, I sent another email including both **************** and *********************************It has now been over 45 days since a refund was promised, and I have not received a response via email or phone call. I have also attempted to contact them via phone but received no answer. At the very least, they could have replied to let me know when I should expect the check.This business practice is unacceptable. I am simply requesting the $500 refund that is owed to me.

      Moves here on 27 Sep. The apartment has a severe ***** infestation which I consider health related although I'm not sure if that's legally recognized I also have several maintenance issues being ignored, some I know violate Texas code. I have 2 windows that do not lock properly and 1 fire hazard from a clogged dryer vent so clogged it is pushing the grate off of the concrete ceiling. The garbage disposal is inoperable causing the sink to back up exacerbating the ***** problem. Management knows all of these things yet over 3 weeks later, nothing is being done. They don't even respond to emails which I believe is retaliatory to the 1 star review I gave them. They sprayed once a few days after receiving my move in inspection, then attempted once more a week later but claimed the door was locked. The door was locked the 1st time. Resolution to me would mean they fix these things immediately or let me out of the lease and pay for my move. The Army paid to move me here, they won't pay again. I dont wish to bring lawyers into this but it's looking like I may not have a choice. Mine wants me to proceed with filing suit but this is more a management of the complex issue than a corporate norm I would want to believe anyway. I signed this lease almost 3 weeks before move in so there was ample time for them to look this over. Thanks in advance for your time

      Dear *** or Madam,

      Thank you for the speedy response and action on your part. 

      The window/security issue is no longer an issue. I spent 3 1/2 hours last night totally disassembling them and  cleaning the lock mechanisms and gutters, and was able to at least make the windows close completely and temporarily lock. It wouldn't take much to ***** them open but I can't say they don't lock now. Ridiculous I had to do that myself.

      The pest control however is not resolved and the owner has not attempted to make contact.

      Since I moved in there has been no HOT WATER I have made maintenance reports I've called I've went in and nothing has been done manager states he is waiting on a piece I work hard everyday all I want is a hot shower if I'm paying. Plugs don't work I have to run extension cords said they was coming Noone showed up. Apartment is infested with ROACHES!!! YOU COOK AND THEY ALL RUN OUT..I HAVE BEEN GETTING BITTEN SINCE I MOVED IN AND THEY STATE THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS. Today October 9th ***************************************************************************************************************************** ridiculous thwn goes and brings 5 people to my door because I told him that's not how things are done.Not to mention when I moved in Apartment was disgusting and not clean floor was ripped and I stunk so bad I got left with no stove all weekend since they didn't connect the gas Yesterday the water was shut off half day and still no hot water. They want to charge people but want people to live like animals.

      Greystar property management sent my roomate and I a move out charge of close to $1200. The charges on this statement are wildly dishonest. 1. They allege there is a missing mattress, the mattress they are specifying is in 421-B and i brought my own mattress for use in 421-A. Both were in 421-B on the moveout date. They are trying to bill me $240 for this. 2. They allege cleaning fees for basically the entire appt. We cleaned the entire appt and it was spotless. Charges were for the bathrooms which we bleached completely as well as for the main living areas despite there being absolutely nothing unclean about them. 3. They allege 5 missing appt keys, 1 mailbox key, and 2 missing parking permits despite my roommate and I turning in all keys and only receiving 2 appt keys each, one for our room and the other for our door in the appt. I returned my keys and moved out 4 days before the move out date as specified in the lease. They are lying about this. My roomate did the same as we returned our keys within hours or each other.4. I have attempted to contact them several times by email and phone and they will not respond to my inquiries or answer my phone calls. I am on the verge of retaining an attorney to go after them as this is so egregious. 5. They also allege damage to the appliances which were in perfect condition when we left. $150 charge for microwave damage and other charges as well. There was no damage. This is also a lie. I have much more, but am limited by the amount i can type here. Please help me, i am a poor college student and these people are trying to rob me after i did everything stipulated in the lease. Please help me!-***

      , this is *********************** apartment, 2223. I was contacting you because there was an emergency call Saturday about in the girls bathroom. We we have been gone all last week. **** got back Saturday and thats when she discovered that the bathroom had been there are bubbles in the ceiling. We had to throw everything away on the ground maintenance said they will be here first thing Monday, which is today to cut a hole in the ceiling to figure out whats going on mind you I told the manager prior that it smelled like mold and water that there wasnt water problems in the bathroom and the we cant even use their bathroom. Theres no telling how long the leak has been there like I said weve been gone all last week due to family emergency. Its *************************************************************************************** the ceiling.

      Equal Fair Housing Violations Since I have moved into an apartment with this business in 5/22, I have contacted The ******* at **************' office and management several times filing complaints about a neighbor violating the lease on numerous occasions. My neighbor smokes cigarettes in front of my door and windows and the lease that I signed specifically states that smoking of any kind is a prohibited tenant behavior. I have photo evidence of the tenant behavior and have saved all of my emails. The office refuses to respond to any of my emails and has attempted to call me only once, in which they left a voicemail stating that they have spoken to the neighbor about this violation. They are aware of the multiple violations yet refuse to communicate with me in any written form. I still have the voicemail in which they claim that they are aware of the lease violation.

      I hope this message finds you well. My family and I are currently living in an apartment complex that has been unresponsive to serious issues like mold, asbestos, decaying cabinets, and repeated flooding. Despite several attempts to have these matters addressed, nothing has been done.Ive also requested to be released from my lease due to a management change that makes it invalid, but my request was denied. The health of my children, guests, and myself has noticeably deteriorated, and when I tried to get someone to check the environmental levels, the apartment management refused. Even an external company said they needed permission from the leasing office, leaving us with no option to move to a safer place.Given this situation, ** desperate for advice or recommendations on how to proceed and leave this uninhabitable location before my unborn child is also affected. Any guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance for your help.

      I have had four leaks/major issues due to negligence by the contractors repairing the unit above my unit in the last month. My ceiling broke open in multiple on two occasions which resulted in damage to my property as well as me having to leave work and lose hours. The third issue happened two weeks ago when they literally split open my ceiling risking it falling on us. Now as of today there is another leak in a different area of my kitchen which is causing damage to the paint and water damage in the ceiling as well as water to pool on the floor.I have requested a concession on my rent to offset the cost of the damages and missed work on 3 separate occasions with no response.I have also asked for them to check for the presence of mold due to several leaks and my concern for mine and my daughters safety and welfare. I was told I would have to hire someone to test that myself. But since I havent caused the leaks or damages I am seeking my rent to be covered for the period of a month to cover the ongoing issues as well as the current issue to be remedied.

      Have sent various emails regarding a secured deposit refund NOT being refunded. Apt complex did not do a final walkthrough and did mention in January I would be getting a partial refund. They keep telling me corporate has not issued a refund, or that the information has not been sent to corporate. Company is either keeping my refund on purpose or are not willing to issue refund.

      My military family and I moved to ****************** at ************** in August of 2023. We moved here for the amenities listed on the website. I pay 2400+ each month and the amenities are unavailable, unacceptable, or do not exist. We were unable to see the complex in person prior to arrival since we were moving from *******************, **. Lap Pool: nonexistent Movie room: no projector Pool: down for maintenance Gym: equipment stolen and not replaced Gated complex: gates are all broken and left open 24/7 Trash pickup: only M-Th, dumpster overflowing constantly.
